  1. Would be nice to meet some people I'm only there Friday so I'll aim to be there at one
  2. Fantastic work! wish I had just a tiny amount of your vision and skill:thumbup1:
  3. Pretty sure it is, although it's unusual in that it hasn't got thorns all over it!
  4. Very true... but we don't Please take in jest, as I said we do a lot of reductions and the double sided are so much better for cutting the tops down hard whilst struggling through repeatedly topped leylands. We do keep 3 or 4 sharp for the sides and trimming yew, thuja, lonicera etc
  5. We do a LOT of hedge trimming and hedge reductions and the most useful advise i can offer is that if your right handed start the top of the hedge from the right as your body is designed to work this way around! If your left handed start the top from the left side! Sounds like common sense I know but the amount of people I've seen struggling doing it back to front over the years is unbelievable
  6. To be honest they used to spend a lot of time roaming free around the living room rather than in their tank but that leads to other problems like thinking they can leap onto the Christmas tree and it will take their weight:001_huh:Mine also developed a taste for tinsel!
  7. Nice looking lizard and tank Steve, we used to have a couple of green iguanas years ago but found the tank set up was a little too big for a two bedroom terraced house! (6'x6'x3') :001_smile:Now just have a 7ft common boa with just some strong branches to climb on as he kept trashing any live plants I put in!
  8. Tragic, cannot imagine what you are going through, stay strong, all the best.
  9. +1 for Matt Brooker and Ian Morgan with regards to training, have also had assessments done by Paul betambou. Only positive things to say about all of them:thumbup1:
  10. The Tortworth chestnut,Domesday oak, and Bewdley chestnut all very impressive trees
  11. Kett's oak in Norfolk from a few years ago
  12. Cheers guys unfortunately the CCTV wasn't clear enough to get the reg no but to be fair I would imagine treequip is right and it would have been cloned/stolen plates anyway. Insurance were actually very good as I was onto them instantly and they were as helpful as they could be, mr trees yes our guys left it unattended with the tools locked in it for less than ten minutes in a VERY public open spot by the doors but evidently nowhere is safe. Only good thing to come out of this was an excuse to replace the 201t with the 540xp
  13. Stolen today just before midday in a leamington spa supermarket car park Ms261 serial no - 177493813 Ms261 serial no - 177036013 Hs81r serial no - 176698951 Km56 kombi hedgecutter serial no - 296290819 Ms201t serial no - 174114119 Bg86 blower CCTV showed a dark red saloon car followed the van in waited 200yards away then forced the locks whilst the lads grabbed a sandwich in and out in 2 mins take care of your gear all. Not a good start to the week!
  14. Slowly getting somewhere with my shed/workshop/hideaway.Far far away from some of the great builds already shown but its 80% recycled materials (pallets and fence boards) and most importantly i've done it all on my own now just need to finish it by June so i can watch the world cup in peace!
  15. Finally got around to clearing this maple blown over a few weeks ago nothing special but more firewood:thumbup1:
  16. Do it all the time as it's just the way I've always done it plus the boss won't let me bolt anything to his chipper! (I'm 6' and don't find it particularly uncomfortable)
  17. Found these two on a prunus today and thought i should share Jules if you pm me your address i will send you the flatter of the two as my kids have claimed the twirly one!
  18. In the same boat mate know exactly what you mean, but they're paying the bill and where I work that makes them right.
