  14. if the customer wants it down then at least convince them to get a mobile bandsaw mill in to turn it into boards, they should look stunning... when kiln dried they could recoup a good portion of their cost to fell it in the first place.
  15. i take it this reply is directed at me. the heating would be very low if it weren't for the fact i live with my mum who feels the cold at 20 degrees... anyway, she pays the bill.
  16. i inherited this from my dad but i am quite happy with the cold as long as i'm doing something. both me and my dad were fine in the lower temperatures it was always other people who are complaining that it's cold when we both thought it is fine. 20 degrees is too much for me.
  17. never been anywhere to get quite that cold. my blood temperature is 2 degrees lower than normal, does this mean that i would be one of the last to get hyperthermic or am i more at risk because i'm closer to that temperature???
  18. that's basicly what i do with all the lumps and chunks i get from people like phil, john and anyone else who drops wood off at my door.

  21. i do have a bit of q,suber but it is quite spalted and from a small tree so if you have a bit from an unspalted larger specimen then that would be great. any crataegus will do as i have none. i like liquidambar for turning, how much do you have?
  22. yes he has quercus ilex. check out the website and if you have something that is not on the list of botanical names then we'll have it...
