  8. You may get some shooting from the roots/stump, if so paint the leaves with glyphosate weed killer eg Roundup
  9. Ok , I would suggest reduce height to this pic. You cannot reduce the sides as it will leave it looking bare (dead inner foliage ,that wont re shoot)

  11. Yeh White Poplar or a cross. You can get a variation in the leaves as White Poplar and Aspen cross pollinate . From those trees you can get cross pollination again so a varying variety of leaf shape.
  12. I wasn't expecting something like that lol. Its the worst type of shape at that size, I think I would fell it unless it has some importance as Mick said. If you want to save yourself money, get a repatriable tree surgeon to fell it and dispose of it yourself.
  13. Depends on species. A Leyland cypress will look ok again in 2 or 3 yrs. A Lawsons cypress twice as long or a bit more. Western Red Cedar between the 2 mentioned. They are the 3 commonest species. A pic would help

  24. I think I would reduce the height by 1m to reduce the wind load. Do not leave a bare stump when pruning, just cut above a shoot or branch. No need to do anything else with the wound.
