  1. I saw that on FB the other day, brilliant! What's that film with DeVito where they end up in a neighbour war? No doubt it'll be on in the Christmas re-runs, cracking film!! Grandad's house used to be close to this character:
  2. There's an arb low season? Bugger, missed that! Last 3 weekends used on "catch-up" work!
  3. That brought back memories! Spent a month over there loosely based in Tagazout surfing the breaks from Boilers to Elevens. Last day, a long, hot, slow mountain bus trip back to 'kesh for the flight home, found digs, got food, was desperate for a cold beer. I asked the over attentive waiter if there was any Heineken, you'd have though I'd just murdered his entire family by his reaction! Massively offended - paused to draw breath, then whispered an offer of sex with a young female family member...... Asking for beer = mortally offensive Selling family for sex = apparently a routine occurrence! Islam as a moral compass, discuss!
  4. Had this on SE picture disc, wish I still had it ):0(
  5. BRILLIANT! Just rocked out in bed (that's rock & roll - in bed by 10!) Mrs J. (13 years my junior) is confused.....
  6. Listening now and chuckling..... Buzzcocks, Sham 69, The Clash..... Time for music session! Brilliant....
  7. How easy it is to cut is somewhat irrelevant - although I agree with the comments about 'false sense of security' etc.... Rope lanyard or wire core flip line - you pays your money you takes your chance, horses for courses, etc, etc, etc.... The point of having a rope (in this sense) is not so much to keep you up there, but to provide a method of getting down! Errrrrr...... Day 1 week 1 CS38?
  8. At the risk of "Re-Railing" the original topic: http://www.hse.gov.uk/agriculture/pdf/fatal1314.pdf Page 5/6 interesting stats for transport related fatalities....
  9. Interesting..... everyone has their own DIY solutions to their own interpretation or experience of what you're describing..... post No.8 made me spit coffee, thanks for that, think I'll change my shirt before meeting this morning.... I like the line in "Fight Club" something like - there's a point when what you own starts to own you - you'll know what I mean if you've seen it.... Sometimes just writing it down or sharing / talking about it is enough.... Diet and 'winding down' before bed are all good!
  10. Sound advice! Think through it in your head, maybe even talk out loud. That way the assessor will be able to follow your thought process. It may sound daft but assessors are not clairvoyant! It's one thing to think it, it's quite another to let someone know what you are thinking. remember the driving test example, don't just move your eyes to check the mirror, move your head so that the examiner knows you are looking in the mirror!
  11. X2! I've got one of Jeremy's tubs, had it a few years now, it's the nuts!
  12. Lapsed pollard, TPO'd Lime Has there been any discussion previously centred on the irony of the situation where unauthorised work to TPO trees could lead to prosecution, but there is no compulsion within the current regs to require someone to dowork that might be considered good management. Or is there? I hope people can understand what I'm trying (rather poorly) to ask there?
  13. Cracking, I like it and the idea has solved a problem I have for a corner shelving unit at home. I've got some Mont Pine with pretty close to a 90 degree turn in it. I've been wondering how to put it to good use within my limited ability! For mine, when it comes, I'll keep the bar recessed in a drilled / plugged hole on the top shelf though - like that idea. :thumbup1:
  14. To true! I'm not having anyone sew my ass! I'd explode within 24hrs.....
  15. Can't quite fathom what you're saying there Bob! Did chuckle at the 'back to derail' approach though!!
