  1. Saw the van / car and took a punt? Brass neck scum bag! Maybe a glimpse of the next scam tactic? Unbelievably opportunistic.
  2. Are there pre-existing, live contracts with 10k profit for task included in the price? If not, how has that figure been calculated? Name & website costs about £100 not 10k. 10k value for kit doesn't sound like much of an operational outfit. If you've got 20k to throw at it surely best bet would be to set yourself up afresh? Good luck with it either way!
  3. Never tire of watching it! 👍🏻
  4. The party didn't get my vote Mr Eggs, but that had more to do with the local MP being a complete tit. There can be no respect for a PM that changes tack so quickly and so dramatically. It either means there was insufficient thought given to the initial stance or that the perceived public will is more important than being a leader and making the tough call. P poor!
  5. I'm going to give in to the 3 to 1 female domination in my house tomorrow. Left to me, it wouldn't happen before 1 Nov but since there's a huge pile of logs, why take the nagging? The gears ready, the girls are chilly and life's too short to be uncomfortable!
  6. It disgusts me. Of the media, I'm not that fussed, of Cameron, I'm deeply disappointed. Hey-ho, that's politics.
  7. Lucky to receive this bottle for last birthday. Was a bit nervous but it is a fine tipple!
  8. That is part of the 'tip of the iceberg' I referred to.... It's probably 30 years past the point where the world should have been considering the wholescale abandonment of sub saharan Africa.... It'll have to be addressed at some point in not too many more life times.
  9. There was perhaps a glimmer of effort in the Balkans?
  10. I think the current situation, recognising that it is the tip of the iceberg, could lead to a seminal change in Europe. Refugee v immigrant/migrant. Fairly irrelevant within the circumstances currently unfolding. Is it too much to ask that the hugely self important, expensive, so-called "experts" and policy makers of bloated bureaucracy of the UN, EU and UK government (in a sliding scale starting with the UN) get a bloody grip and earn their massive salaries & expensive lunches, offices & Manhattan apartments. I've just had my breakfast, had a think for a minute and decided how I'd suggest it could be "fixed." Under a UN mandate, establish safe zones within or in neighbouring countries, expeditionary infrastructure - it's all off the shelf materiel - provide all domestic, health, education facilities (comparable to that which currently exists in the troubled country.) make it secure with military assets under UN command. Send the bill to the nation state responsible for the dislocation of people. Dislocated people remain within the sanctuary until such time as the turmoil abates, then they return to their country of origin. Job done!
  11. Sorry, just realised it was actually 22.3.2 not 22.5.1 And that I blame on the Shiraz!
  12. That in itself is a national scandal rather than something to be presented as a justification for unrestricted immigration.
  13. You can see it! Shame the EU "experts" can't!! Study tour of Romanian wood pastures | Ancient Tree Forum
  14. Thanks Ed, just had a quick look via iPhone, will look again via laptop later. There seems to be a link to planning conditions in the text. Will have a proper read later. Interesting stuff!
  15. Just read back through last years posts Jon, was the same last year 😕 I'm still hoping for a late spell of sunshine!
  16. Barely out of August but the girls have started their (not so subtle) hints and nagging campaign already! 16 degrees in the babies room! No fire before 1 November. Put a jumper on and grab the Hoover, that'll warm em up!
  17. Only reference I can find is 22.5.1 para 3, bullet point 1 on page 576 as refers to county rather than district councils which seems to provide only very specific circumstances?
  18. That's interesting, never heard of TPO(s) on trees not yet planted before. (Reaches for 'the book' for tonight's reading!)
  19. Can't imagine it'd be much different to ours!
  20. Ummmmm, not really, not for me anyways. That's not to say I don't sometimes like a Guardian article, I do. But this one, I couldn't read more than first few paragraphs unfortunately. "I’ve been canvassing opinion among Guardian colleagues" hardly presents a balanced overall perspective! Let's just call anyone that doesn't immediately open their house a racist is what I read between the lines in that article.
  21. Good luck with that Gary! The tree would probably have time to fail while you're still on hold!
  22. Doesn't bode well for 'integration.'
