  1. Must be quite thought provoking.... As recently as 100 years ago, this nation behaved with such institutional revulsion towards those that were morally opposed to conflict. And conversely, so many Lions willingly followed and obeyed the donkeys and dinosaurs into such abject despair, desperation, destruction and desolation. Makes me wonder why such a piece of manual construction, with such social history isn't a listed monument. In my reckoning, a structure like that is of greater significance than perhaps the cenotaph. It must have been a dreadful existence for those poor souls.
  2. Could be a lot of Ash coming..... If it's not embargoed.
  3. Does this look like it could be a former Kretz effect? On a Euc? There are no signs of fruiting bodies.
  4. Don't spend the full 5 minutes watching it..... There's no 'funny' at the end, just 5 minutes of very similar stuff! https://youtu.be/BX2bATGt-tM
  5. Perhaps a Police / HMRC investigation for fraud is appropriate? The great British public love a bit of banker bashing but seem blind to the truly staggering salaries and apparent corruption in the world of football.
  6. That's a brilliant way of looking at it.... Perhaps it'll be on his CV?? What about Wiggins? (a bit off topic I'll grant you) In my book (FWIW) - it's using med chems for physical advantage, i.e. doping.
  7. Was reading the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors professional standards, RICS Valuation – Professional Standards global January 2014 http://www.rics.org/Global/RICS_Valuation_Professional_Standards_global_2014_June2015reprint_2014edition_PGguidance_2015.pdf (a captivating read....) and happened across this passage which reminded me of this thread: PS 2 Ethics, competency, objectivity and disclosures 4.2 There is a general duty to treat information relating to a client as confidential where that information becomes known as a result of the professional relationship and is not in the public domain. The risk of disclosure of confidential information is a material factor that the valuer should consider in assessing whether or not there is a potential conflict of interest. A factor to be borne in mind is that it may be necessary to disclose some details of the valuer’s involvement in the subject of the valuation. If an adequate disclosure cannot be made without breaching the duty of confidentiality, then the instruction should be declined. The duty of confidentiality is continuous and ongoing, and includes current, past and even potential clients. Food for thought for me, even though not marrying up exactly with the type of circumstances the OP described (which were technically 'legal' but potentially morally 'awkward') and mindful that it's an extract from a Chartered org and Arb is still a bit fractured on that front.... It was quite a good read actually!
  8. I think she did exactly what her team set her up to do.... Polished, poised, controlled, non controversial, non confrontational.... Or, to put it another way.... A product of 'the system.' A flop out of the tired old political elite jelly mould! Seems like she just clinched it according to the media, but hey, that's the craziness of the situation, politicians have become adept at morphing themselves into that which is most appealing to the media - perverse or what!
  9. She's slick but he's a slugger, I think he'll knock it out of the park!
  10. John McDonnell promises "at least" £10 minimum wage and says it's no longer necessary to whisper the word socialism..... Just a promise to raise welfare payments and tax the working to fund it and we'll have the reality of new, old Labour! Daily Politics given over to coverage of the Labour conference (where some Labour MPs needed personal security staff), no wonder I fell asleep! On the bright side, at least I banked a nap before the big fight tonight!! 🇺🇸
  11. Ball aching, unnecessary, irritating and distracting admin faff probably from some PC desk jockey making a tidy living for not actually "doing" anything other than the keyboard clickety-click. 👊🏻
  12. He'em looking for 9k Seems bloody good to me if the mechanics is sound.
  13. Whichever Mod passed that for open session, I thank you! I wasn't at all sure it would get another run but hopefully some of the 'energy' has dissipated with the passing of time??
  14. I've just seen this for sale on FB.... Bloody hell I'm tempted!
  15. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/training-education/97503-qtra-worth.html The energy and enthusiasm was best summed up in post 55 and it was sadly but understandably closed at 61. 7 months on we never got to hear back from Dilz if he took the leap (sold his soul) or not I'm booked in for annual re-indoctrination next month... Really looking forward to it!
  16. You in Copenhagen Morten? There MUST be a cracking little bar somewhere in that fine city that would like a new bar top?? Beer for a life time!!
  17. That's 2 great posts! Taking the tree from milled to end product is a sweet set up.
  18. Spent quite a bit of time on that site Rich. I like the dog cages and I used their pricing to cross match a dealer supplied canopy. Prices were very similar but dealer supplied included fitting! I was surprised to find dealer supplied was better value. I like the chequered plate underfloor trays (particularly the wheel arch stowages if you have gull wing doors on canopy) but the "Decked.com" version has higher load bearing and has greater water resistance if canopy is off. I'm hoping to do "decked" floor and HT dog cage (or homemade dog cage.)
  19. I'm not 100% sure, but that's how I remember it being described and how I plan to address it. It might pay to check with a training centre (although they may have a biased interest?) or direct with FISA (ha, good luck with that!) or NPTC. Some advancement tickets wouldn't work, like 38 wouldn't refresh 30 for example.
  20. On a brighter note, whist looking across the range of bed storage options I found this system which seems to me to be pretty awesome in comparison to the competition: http://decked.com/truck/ Waiting to hear back if they have a UK distributor or ship to U.K. Otherwise I might be asking Ted to take delivery and forward ship!
  21. I got an email with the "all answering" link on Friday.... Needless to say, it actually answers sweet FA and creates further questions - surprise! I need to re-read it and reply later, will update once done!
  22. That's pretty much what i was going to say! If I understand it correctly, an 'advancement' ticket kind of automatically updates all subordinate tickets - plus you have the higher skill set ticketed also.
