  1. Blindfolded- what an appropriate phrase. Like the systemic blindfold over decades of perverse, abusive criminality from known sectors of a community being not only ‘tolerated’ but actively ‘excused’, concealed and, by extension, facilitated and perpetuated from within whilst the establishment stood by, too scared to cause offence or create racial tension. Meanwhile, 1 person steps up, tells it like it is and apparently he’s the problem. The hypocrisy makes me wanna puke!
  2. The numbers still don’t stack up. Not saying you didn’t, just saying it don’t seem to stack up. Complexity = more time (possibly additional skill sets) but 450 for 2 climbers and 950 for 3 makes no sense. 450 / 2 = 225 225 x 3 = 675 not 950 275 (on top of 225) for the 3rd man? Makes no sense.
  3. That could go horribly wrong if Joe Public rumbles your pricing technique Bob. Example - householders daughter is on site for quote but grandma is there for the job day ?
  4. Those figures don’t seem to make sense to me either.
  5. It’s only a bubble mate, innit. Northerners are my favourite pets really ? (I did bloody marry one after all!)
  6. Nah, it’s the chip on BOTH shoulders and the clogs that has inhibited the productivity of your average Northener, all that wasted effort shuffling around in the cold wearing nout but a vest and bumbling about hard done-by they are whilst dragging their bottom lip on the gravel..... Eeeeeeee by ‘eck, ecky thump, lard sandwiches and the like.
  7. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease! For the love of God, stop now before truly irrevocable images are burned into my retina ?
  8. Whether 200,000 or 90,000 (let’s not quibble over the detail) years since we were all happy bed fellows, there have been that many ⬆️ years of social, religious, racial, geographic, economic etc, etc, etc divergence. That divergence - organic and / or imposed - simply cannot be successfully reversed in the blink of an eye. It’s all very well saying weme all brothers from a different mother, but it don’t quite work out as easy as that....
  9. “White British” is a minority ethnic group in London (44.9%) when viewed in relation to the combined other ethnic categories.
  10. Adding to my argument for trying to justify buying a tracked / spyder machine - Dhooooh!
  11. I’m all for fairness & equity..... Give ‘em both the good news and have done with it
  12. There might be a bit of overpricing - it is a public sector project after all - but I bet, rather than anyone 1 entity getting rich, it’ll be an example of us all (those that pay tax at least) getting poor as a consequence of local and national government’s utter lack of respect for public money. If it had been Cornwall, the contract would likely have gone to Cormac - the 100% share owned private company of Cornwall council. Talk about a cartel!
  13. Were you listening to Majeed? He made some valid arguments on his show but (for a clever bloke) he is way too tunnel visioned and keen to misrepresent his own very biased opinion to the detriment of the bigger picture. If you caught the show, I recall that he majored on the ‘apparent’ inequities of the 2 examples of Begham and Letts where the general call was for Begham to have UK citizenship revoked but not so for Letts, and the apparent inequities of the sentencing of Letts parents compared to some other case. There was a lot of focus on the problems of refusing to allow those that wished to return to UK from former ISIS collaborations and also he had a mini liberal meltdown over Putin’s recent comments about liberal democracies. I genuinely like his show and hold his uncompromising style in high regard but he was way off the mark more than not yesterday. In no particular order: As regards Putin - I don’t think he misunderstood Putin’s point so he must have chosen to purposefully misrepresented his arguments against it. Not impressed - Putin made some very relevant and accurate observations regarding the consequences of overt liberalism. The Begham Letts comparisons are false comparisons due to tangible differences in circumstances - quite hypocritical of Majeed (as a self styled liberal) to represent the perceived similarities and ignore the obvious fact that in a liberal democracy each case is independently considered, on its merits, within the process of the legal system. On the the plus side though, his arguments around deportation and trial of other nation citizens held some genuine logic and - as usual - anyone that tried to argue otherwise was promptly tied up in knots! Overall a good show though and plenty of ranting opportunities whilst lime pointing ?
  14. I think it’ll work itself out come the NEXT vote Mark!
  15. Hopefully a cross compliance subsidy stoppage to follow: https://www.spainenglish.com/2019/06/27/catalonia-wildfire-destroyed-5500-hectares/ https://apple.news/AQUOI5By4SBq6guLdLUnPpg
  16. I think they stand less chance of election now than at any time in recent history.
  17. No, my assumption - apologies. ?? Maybe....
  18. Unless it’s a whole load of crap he’s put there which needs moving, I’d have thought it would usually be LA (Highways) responsibility to keep PRoW clear. Unless farmer is taking an envelope ?from PC then subbing the work out...
  19. It’s off (the original) topic - but seems that’s about answered... Just curious, a farmer paying you to maintain PRoW? I would have expected the LA or PC to do that. LA can devolve task & funding to a PC but it seems unusual for the land owner to be doing footpath maintenance.
  20. It ain’t worth listening to ??s 100% BS, distraction and waffle. Best thing he could do was stay off the airwaves!
  21. Mmmmmm, tenuous, I guess that’ll happen when a patently incorrect statement is presented as ‘fact’ and then it is shown to be personal interpretation/ opinion rather than the ‘fact’ it was originally presented as.... I guess accuracy can be tenuous at times, especially when it conflicts with personal opinion / political persuasion huh...
