1. My Gran used to get it, until 10 years ago when she died I think it was about 2-3 tonnes each year Not to be sniffed at:001_tongue:
2. Sutton Bank England's highest INLAND Cliff Sutton Bank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
3. Thank God for that, I thought i'd stumbled on a LR Owners Forum, for a minute:001_tongue:
4. Future's not looking too good:001_rolleyes:
5. JLR's head of products, John Edwards, said the new model would be "instantly recognised" by people who drive the current vehicle but it "won't necessarily be cheap"
6. BBC News - Emission rules to end Land Rover Defender production That's it, no more leaky LR's or cramped driving positions:001_tt2: Shame:sad:

what 4x4

Pretty spot on A mechanic once told me that the Europeans make components on a vehicle to last the 3 year warranty Whereas Toyota used to make components to last the life time of the the vehicle ie 20 years Look at all the war zones & see how many rebels use them
8. A stark reality Steve I can see your reasoning clearly However if demand increases (more Stove installations) the log price should rise significantly - should it not?

what 4x4

I saw an Anorak that had only just clipped a wooden gatepost, all the plastic off the front n/s wing was toast (wheelarch and bumper corner) and the front bumper was broken on its mounts Repair costs were over £2k, for a 5mph clipping of a field gatepost Madness for a 'supposed' work truck
10. Me too:001_tongue:
11. Hi, Many thanks, already had a few PM's so will be in touch
12. Hi, Anyone got anything surplus to their needs within a 20 mile radius of Thrisk area Can collect in 1 tonne lots, beer tokens in exchange Many thanks
13. Some finance companies offer variable rate HP for business users & it's legal A lot of my farmer customers used it 2-3 years ago & have saved a fortune over fixed rate with base rate @ 0.5% However the major Ag & Forestry provider of it, exited the market late last year & nobody else offers a competitive example these days
14.

Hi,

Have you got anything coming up in the North Yorkshire area, this autumn, coming up in the next couple of months?

15. I'm on the other side as a person who sells finance to rural businesses - farmers & contractors It is very common to finance big expensive kit, most businesses want modern & efficient kit to run, that cost less in repairs (or is covered by warranty) I'm never short of work & most see finance as just another business tool, no matter how big or wealthy they It's cash flow or lack of it that kills a business, so why use up all your cash to fund kit ? Finance half & keep the cash in the business to run it, is what most people do
16. Plenty in the North East, if you fancy a ride out
17. Storing logs completely uncovered - but bark side up to the elements is popular in the USA & seems their preferred method Is there any need to cover at all? My log store has a roof, but these other logs are on pallets in the yard, open on 4 sides & top The tarpaulin I used last year was a mesh version, rather than a PVC one
18. I'm starting to process the wood I have for this year, some already done and in an outside vented logstore and the rest on pallets All for my own use and not selling any Last year I covered it with a mesh tarpaulin However this year, i'm going for uncovered, bark side up on the pallets over summer and into autumn, then I'll probably cover again with the mesh tarpaulin Seem to be seasoning nicely and any rain soon dries up in the wind and sun Right or Wrong??
19. How much would you pay for a cube of firewood?
20. Had mine for 10 years and it's been the best
21. Very true, some complete muppets out there:001_rolleyes:
22. Your Missus looked a bit fed up Can't understand why nobody can help you? EA must be able to do something, send in the big pumping gear
23. Use this for smaller limbs Log-Loc - Overview Excellent piece of kit:thumbup1:
24. Many thanks He's extremely disappointed:thumpdown: Not only is it unsuitable for a garden table, because the bark will fall off, it will also crack and become a host to fungi - it's a bloody useless wood to burn No wonder the Aborist was giving it away:001_tongue:
