  2. Tried a few knots and use a swaybish prussik with my hitch climber, self tends with no sit back but is a bit harder to pull through the slack than VT etc.

  9. You do get what you pay for!!! I've been using those DMM oval karabiners (ones with green gate) on my hitch climber setup and side strop and there much better in hand than the normal shaped 3-way:thumbup1:

  12. I'm gutted for you. Land rovers have soul, if you owned something else you could just wait till the insurance payed out and get another off the shelf vehicle:001_tongue: its the fact we put are own stamp on our land rovers that make them so sentimental

  15. Just got a go pro hero3 off eBay £200 BIN. That's delivered, charger helmet amounts etc. the only thing extra you need is a micro SD card + adaptor.

  17. I have the Sordin setup on my stein lid, same as the petzl vertex etc. just google it or go on any of the dealers websites and right hand side of the page:001_smile:
  18. I've had all the common problems with my 261: needle bearing ( oil pointer etc) clutch springs, even blew both the exhaust caps off! My local stihl dealer Gustharts replaced the sprocket for the older ms260 and gave it a good look over and it's been fine since!! I've have another one.

  20. Have had a pair of hi-flex's, comfy but fall part. Currently using sip progress and Stein sentinals and they're both great:thumbup:
  21. I've got a iPhone 4s with griffin case, keep it in my pocket when climbing, gets damp/wet and covered in sawdust. No worries:thumbup:
  22. Hi thanks. I looked at SHB and tracked down a good deal. However it's almost impossible to insure and SHB, though they are legally supposed to offer insurance, don't do it. The area is just West of Appletreewick (W of Ripon). many thanks friend of percytopliss (he has kindly let me use his account!)
  23. 4x4 hire (Pref Defender) with or without driver required for survey job on the North York Moors (near Appletreewick). Needed at various times during Feb and March, for one week periods.
