  1. Thank you very much for the information. I have only ever sprayed around my garden up to now but need to be able to spray around my woodland from time to time. So it is quite a jump up from using a home sprayer/ stronger chemicals. Hope the old grey matter works on the course
  2. I have booked onto the two day knapsack pesticide course and wondered what it was like. I have never had any training on knapsack spraying and wanted to know what the course and assessment is like
  3. Very nice looks like you are having good weather as well
  4. Good luck Jon, hope it is soon out and you are out of pain. Not much worse than a toothache
  5. Sounds like it is going to be a hard winter this year so get plenty of logs in.
  6. Will be lighting ours in the next few days Jon
  7. Well looks like no one has taken the assessment to get their certificate
  8. Very nice
  9. Just received the work book for the grandfather rights pesticide spraying course. I have never been trained to used a knapsack sprayer and have only used one to spray nettles etc. in my woodland. the assessment looks very hard and there is loads of criteria to learn. Is anyone or has anyone else taking/taken the assessment yet. Not sure if it is worth taking it as I am 70 and find studying for the assessment a lot to take in.
  10. Branston beans for me the sauce is thicker
  11. Have a good break Jon and enjoy the rest. Glad you are still online
  12. All the best for a quick recovery
  13. Hi Richie, I agree with Jon, buy her a massive big shiny ring
  14. Thank you for the information it is very helpful. The reason that I want to get rid of the bracken Spandit is because at the moment the bracken is pretty sparse so want to get rid of it before it spreads too much. The are woodland close to me that are covered in in. I have pheasants in the wood that I feed and there is loads of cover for them. I only use the woodland for a few logs and to keep me busy. It is my retirement pastime and love just tinkering about in the wood.
  15. whats the best chemical to clear bracken before it takes over please. I have been reading that us old boys are losing our grandfather rights to spray chemicals in November. I have put my name down on the course to get my certificate and assessment, but what is the training course like. I have not done any courses for years so wounds what it is like. I only need the certificate to spray in my own woodland. I understand there is 35 pages on the assessment.
  16. I tried for planning permission in my wood, it is on its own and would not interfere with anyone. The Council made it very clear that I did not get a of getting anything passed
  17. Make the most of it as it won't last long. Soon be back to winter
  18. Hot hot hot but winter won't be long
  19. Sorry to hear the bad news Steve
  20. One of my neighbours got done so he rigged up a 12bore shotgun so that if anyone came back and opened the shed door they would get full blast. He has taken the gun down now thank goodness
  21. What the betting that Jeremy Clarkson will be back soon. The BBC have him waiting in the wings as as soon as everything calms down he will be back
