  1. We supply Rabaud splitters and they do a large 4 way knive, but again if your doing over 1' diametre logs best of with a single, its quicker
  2. Try willowdene farm, they are an NPTC lantra training college in south shropshire near Bridgnorth 01746718658
  3. Loads of wind blow at my harvesting site today making it exciting but no chance of a double handed pepper grinder off the wife later !
  4. Come and have a demo with our Rabaud Xylog 320, it handles rough logs really well, all hydraulic functions, with 10 tonne splitting ram, 4 metre elevator, and built like a battleship. call to arrange a demo Nathan Home, 07966365157 Home Forestry llp or visit our website
  5. Give phil cooper a call at phil cooper forest machines, he is based in Hutton cranswick. He will sort you out
  6. I run a new Farma 14 tonne drive trailer with 8.5m G2 crane, it was on our stand at the APF show this year. Ive done about 5000 tonne this year and it works very well. The drive engages perfectly into the tyres for when you require it and can come out when you don't. Been pulling fully loaded artics up a 1 in 3.5 bank out of the wood and the drive was essential. Cage drive is cheaper to produce that direct boggie drive, but beware some cage drives only press against the tyres and this will soon wear them out. Better to have the pressure releif valve work to save on breakages. if you want to come down to Shropshire to see one working i am on a spruce clkearfell and ithe trailer crane unit are following my 901-II valmet harvester. We can supply just the trailer if you want a new one or a complete unit with either the 7m or 8.5m crane. have a look at the http://www.hjmeforestry.co.uk website for details nathan
  7. Hi johny, can supply a farma 3 point mounted, upto 6.3m reach
  8. its no good, and the police havent even bothered to turn up. they have given me 2 times that they said they would come to the yard and both times not shown up. Shame i missed the van as a mate of mine was with me in the car and he used to be in the SBS, trust me the wild boar would of eaten well that night!!
  9. Charlie, have a word with Gregor Macarthur, from Macarther forest services. Sure he would have the answer for you. i think he might have a good deal on a chipper he has in his yard as well. cheers nathan
  10. 9.30pm friday Night, we had some equipment stolen from our yard near Bridgnorth, including a set Of Rabaud Log tongs to fit on the log splitter chain winch. They tried to get into our workshop but failed. Two blokes, were seen in a white citreon van Reg. S544 DDL. we believe this was the vehicle responsible, but by the time we got to site with they had fled. If you get offered any log tongs, they look new and really shiny please get in touch. Nathan Home, Home Forestry llp Thanks
  11. I believe that the hp required is quite rightfully more related to the tractor weight as the Xylog processors have a high steel content and build quality, weight is 1080 KG. If your using an old major or fergy, much better to have the pump and tank option, not everyone would need it thats why its available if required. It is a cheaper and better option than trying to get more hydraulics from an old machine. Will have demo machines on site soon, to come and try for yourselves. thats the best way to evaluate its performance, especially if your used to operating machinery. We have a wide range of timber to try including horribly bent and knotty stuff, to see how it will cope with that. No point just trying bar quality material.
  12. Hi there in answer to you questions, standard model hydraulics come from one spool on the tractor, for the majority of modern tractors thats all you would need, the pto shaft drives the saw. An optional extra is the pump and tank kit, filter etc. the hydraulic log deck for the Xylog 320 lists at about £3000. prices for the Xylog 320 start at £10,000 the larger Xylog 400 starts at £19,000. Both machines operations are hydraulic and the log deck is also hydraulic and controlled from the operators position. Look at Home Forestry and the details are on the web pages under Rabaud, wood processors. have a good weekend
  13. In feed is hydraulic forwards and reverse, hydraulic log clamp and stop. hydraulic blade travel speed adjustable hydraulic, blade movement hydraulic. 10 hydraulic splitter and 4 m elevator hydraulic constant forward with pulse reverse. Hydraulics run off tractor hydraulics 1 spool required or can have its own pump and tank as an optional extra, if power tractor has no spools.
  14. No probs, will be in touch. if you can send me you email address i will get in contact as soon as we get one on the yard working. Got lots of folks coming over to view it. We will also be able to supply them with a 3 phase electric motor, when we get a price from France. Lots of users at the show wanted this option so we have asked Rabaud's production team to sort it and let us know costs. our website is Home Forestry We are based just south of Bridgnorth in Shropshire, only about an hour away from yourself. We have 170 acres of woodland so lots of trees to go at. Cheers
  15. not sure how we missed you we were flat out with people for 3 days. Our website is nearly updated, as we are still translating it from French, video now on. this product has only just been released for the UK market. there are many different log decks depending on required productivity. As for the French operator on the video, i guess its because he is French, we all know he should have ear and eye PPE. Will have demo machine working full time in 2-3 weeks so you could always come and try it for yourself. much better than a video. If your after more production try the Xylog 400 or if your a massive producer the xylog 700 is amazing with production over 100 tonnes per day.
  16. Before you buy, have a look at the Xylog 320 from Rabaud, we had these new processors at the APF on our Home forestry stand on the demo circuit. They have a 320 mm cut, 800mm TCT circular saw blade. Forward and reverse infeed table, 4 m forward and pulse reverse, folding elevator. The saw has a travel speed setting for small or larger timber, automatic hydraulic log clamp and log stop. wide V channel log hopper to line up logs for 10 tonne splitter, with 2-4 way knive as standard with 6 way as option. Optional self contained hydraulic pump and tank kit, and it weighs in at 1080 KG, built like a small battle ship. WE have our first truck load coming in from france and they are working and selling well. Prices start at just over £10,000 plus vat. we will have our first working demo machine on the yard in about 2 1/2 weeks. please come and see it working for as long as you like. We also have our website with the video of it working on video 4 page, cheers nathan
  17. The Xylog splitting chamber is solid with a flipper plate to discharge any small residues from splitting. the wood chips are thrown back towards the tractor or motor via a chute built into the fram. the infeed and elevator can move in each direction. The logs are held hydraulically as a part of the cutting cycle and the log stop also moves hydraulically on cut. The splitting knive is hydraulically controlled and can be lifted out without any tools. Power required is 50 hp and weight is 1080KG Blade change is simple with a massive side cover access is very easy. Belts are very easy to adjust and change when necessary. The blade has a travel speed adjustment for differing sizes of log. Another excellent product from Rabaud. Get in touch to come and view a demo when you are ready. Nathan
  18. Have a look at the Xylog 320, prices start at just over £10,000 plus vat. Our website is being updated this week end to show the new video and spec sheets, or look at youtube xylog 320. Very good quality and a lot of steel, available with optional hydraulic tank and pump, log deck etc. will cut a 320mm log, forward and reverse in feed table, 4 m elevator, 800mm TCT circular saw, 10 tonne splitting ram The cTCT blade is much faster and durable than a harvester or chain saw bar and needs less maintenance . weighs in at 1080 KG. We had lots folks at the APF come back after look at the competition in this class and then place orders. will also have demo machine on yard to view working in 2-3 weeks time when the first truck load of these new firewood processors come in from France Home Forestry
  19. Have a look at the Rabaud Xylog 320. Build quality is excellent and also the operation, got new machines coming in 2-3 weeks. come over for a demo if you like we are based in Shropshire, Home Forestry llp.

  21. Not long to go now to the APF show at Ragley.
  22. If you want a farma crane and trailer come and see us at the APF. we can supply everythging from the small 3.5m to the large 8.5m cranes. We will have a new 9tonne trailker with a generation 2 6.3 m crane fitted and also my 14tonne 4wd drive trailer with the 8.5m crane. we will also have a wide selection of new grabs and the BC 18 felling head. crane and trailer size really come down to tractor size weight and power. if you have a light tractor, its best not to go for the largest trailers unless you intend to only work on firm level ground. come and have a look at our stand. Home forestry llp on th demo circuit stand 840-880 cheers nathan
  23. Give me a call, i can supply a new Rabaud 13 tonne Farmer II sp[litter for £1200 plus vat ex works, with a 1.15m clearance, the 16 tonne model is £1550 plus vat. both built like battle ships with a 1 year parts warranty. Look at our new Homeforestry website for details. Home Forestry
