We had our first,can you hurry up with our mower ,THE GRASS IS GROWING today,if i had a pound for every time id been told these words of wisdom over the years i would retire,Then another customer nearly passed out in the shop,when he was told it would be about 3 weeks before he could have his mower back,Just do mine first its ok,!! yes sir we will ring you when its ready lol
  2. Yes i asked about the spares as we service a few,and was told spares will be readily available through husky dealers
  3. Ive heard there will be no more jonsered saw in 2014,husky are no longer bringing them into the uk,Was husky rep this came from,so id think it was correct?

As a small dealer.i can understand the customer can save a few qiud and go else were ,thats just business isnt it,but we have many customers who will happly pay a few quid more,or in many cases the same price as an internet purchase,As they know when things go wrong we will sort it out,Just last week we stayed till gone midnight sorting a good customers chipper out who needed it the next day,hes loyal to us ,so as a company we are loyal to him and many others.If the local man doesnt jump through hoops if you take an internet purchased machine in,Dont be to shocked as he may be lookin after his own customers,Give the local guy a chance ,yes some are better than others i know,You never know it may not be that bad,as my staff and myself,and many other smaller dealers realy do care about what we do,Thanks gb
  5. No uprated band as far as im aware,As for husky they care as little about the dealer as the end user,Not very much belive me!!

  9. Has this not been stihls policy for years?,as a stihl dealer ive signed a dealer agreement,do,s and donts etc,ie dealer handovers,its just nobody has stuck to it,ourselves included,

  11. Last 2 warrenty jobs we have done,i have stood out of my own pocket,just to keep my customers happy,husky care as little about dealers as they do the end user,were very good about 5yrs ago,things have changed sadly

  13. Efco hasnt got the name of the so called premium makes,but all there kit is very good,well put together,and definatly worth a look imo
  14. Hayter harrier or honda is the way,viking not strong enough for pro use,plastic roller,repaired far to many at months rather than years old!
  15. If the guy is making whatever amount a day ,good luck to him,Dont slag him off get yer hand out and buy one,It isnt all big profit belive me,sat in a forest with 6 axles up to your nuts in mud,burst oil pipes,tyres,vosa ,etc etc ,i could go on
  16. we had a demo machine,2 customers loved it,the other 4 said it was far to numb and heavy,So not realy sure if its worth all the long winded hype to be honest

Thanks for your reply,The only common factor we can think of is the cold,as you rightly say oil was very thick,and belt had become very stiff ,better turn heating up in workshop ! was minus 6 at lunch time today,I know what you mean about fs 55 coils,i had a right run on the my self not long ago,thanks again.
  18. This is why we are puzzled,weve serviced hundreds of them over years,Its got us scratchin our heads,i will admit,Same oil weve always used,same mechanics ,Were evan wondering if they just dont like the cold!!

Has anyone had bother with honda ohc engines,weve had 3 different machines in the last few weeks,all start first pull like a good honda should!then pop it throws the cam belt off,All honda mowers different customers,hrx476,hrg 415,hrg465,All cams look un marked,teeth on belts look good,Spoke to honda tech Weve never had that before etc etc,Any ideas before we start striping engines ,thanks

    Weve been selling orange machines for a few years,and are getting a bit fed up with there couldnt give a toss attitude towards dealers and customers,Whats your opinion on the makita range of saws?weve had some demo machines and they seem well built,Any feedback good or bad much appreciated,thanks
  24. told a customer his chainsaw was seized up soild and wasnt worth mending,he asked if we could just get it going for a bit,as he only had a few logs to saw up!
  25. Asked husky rep again today,just to make sure i hadnt got it wrong,non available till jan 2013,
