  1. Yes we are husky dealers ourselves ,we get shafted by the warranty thing time and time again sadly,We will see how it pans out ,
  2. Its all good for dealers as husky point customers in there direction with any warrenty problems or other issues!.While still wanting dealers to take stock to sell.Cake and eat it springs to mind
  3. Just check price for genuine parts, they have reduced price on some by quite some margin on a few models,
  4. Don't use decomp button,We have had a few that were terrible starters ,start as normal just don't use decomp and 2nd or 3rd pull they are away
  5. Very fast,Ive got the stitches and metal plate in my head to prove it!!,Put a knotty log into one its split it into many bits Sending it in various directions mostly near my head,Yes I know I should have worn a helmet etc etc,But I didn't,Brilliant machine but be very careful using it
  6. We arnt a big stihl dealer by any means, we will do 50grand a year and abit less husky, many internet sellers are offering 30/32% discounts , we get 34/36 % from manufactures, if im part of ripp off britain im terribly sorry, ive seen it many times on here when a tree surgen is slated as being,an idiot for working for a couple of hundred quid a day,yet all dealers are the enemy out to take the shirt of your back, this isnt the case most are just working people with mortgages etc etc , I fully understand there are bad dealers around, as there are tree surgeons, plumbers , builders etc, but there are many like my self who have invested heavily in a job I love doing, who try offer good service at a fair price, give your local shop a try , get agood working relationship and you will see they arnt the enemy,
  7. There is very little margin in new saws these days, in fact in a few years i can see many dealers like ourselves having a serious re think as stocking thousands of pounds worth of kit to make a 2% return isnt good buisness, The last post was bang on about trying tobuy localy as with abit of good old fashioned haggling most will get as near to internet price as possible, I know personaly we bend over backwards to help with problems with machines we sell, staying late to fix loan machines etc, the customer suports us we look after them , its simple, and the man who buys on line who can find us the second theres a problem can join the que,
  8. We also sell aspen,And the profit margin as Mr gardenkit says is fairly low,However we get repeat customers coming in to buy it and other products,So It makes sense. As well as the other benefits to both us and customers,Over the past few years we have had machines returned after servicing etc With complaints This wont run etc,These faults are mostly reguarding stale fuel and the problems it causes.since using aspen ourselves in the workshop, and advising our customers to use it also we get very few machines back with faults,So its worth every penny to us if it keeps our year in year out service customers happy,And as already pointed out its not for everyone ,But i wont be going back to regular fuel any time soon
  9. Been running this old thing on aspen most of season,Its never gone as well!!
  10. We have sold a few husqvarna auto mowers,And i was the first to slag them off when we started selling them,They wont catch on ,Who the hell wants one of those etc etc(to be fair im a bit frightend of any technology since the beta max video)The 10 or so we have sold have been very reliable, and apart from changing a few blades carnt recal any faults with any of them. The secret to getting them to work well is in the instalation,Take plenty of time routing guide wires, power supplys, docking station etc,This will pay off long term,We have learnt that lesson the hard way!!
  11. We got broken into in april,There was dna on a roof sheet were one of the theives cut there hand,(sadly not badly) and cctv footage of them taking our stuff,Police came and told us they knew who they were,But they were travellers so probably wouldnt catch them,!!!,I understand the police have a hard job etc etc ,But i came away from the whole thing thinking how bloody useless the whole system realy is
  12. Its a shame realy ,as we have opened the shop 12 yrs ago,And have met some great customers many have become friends to my family and staff,But its always the moaning buggars you remember!! ,
  13. We had a chap in on monday, saying the new mower he had bought was not fit for purpose and he wanted a refund right now,We pointed out he didnt buy it from us,But he just got more upset saying we deal mowers so he was sure i could send it back to the manufacturer and they would refund us,He then said we were being un helpful,
  14. Try running it without filter,we have had odd ones doing this they look spotless but are still choked up
  15. There are a few different coils for these,Make sure your coil is compatible with the serial number on your machine,The wrong one will fit and look just fine,But will display the problems your having if the wrong one
  16. Took this old girl to track the other week,Stupidly forgot fuel,All i had in van was a can of aspen 4t i was going to drop in at a customers house on way home,Thought id give it a wirl,Shes never run as well ,May have stumbled on a new market for you Eddie,Aspen drag racing fuel!!
  17. We had a Latvian truck come to pick up some machines the other day,He spoke no English what so ever,im sure he was a realy nice chap,But after he took his Volvo fh and trailer down a track I wouldn't go down in a land rover, then spending 4 hrs trying to get him unstuck,I realy think the companys that employ these drivers should at least give them some training before sending them round Europe with nothing but a sat nav at rely on,
  18. We have been husky dealers for far to many years now,They never ever ask for any parts to be returned, never mind testing oil etc
  19. As a small dealer we try our best to get as near to online prices ,But most of our customers are happy if we get as close as we can,As they know they can turn up at half 5 on a friday etc and we will get them going one way or another,As a dealer the only thing in our favour is service and if we do not offer this to regular customers we are in the wrong job sadly<Sounds a bit harsh but the i can get it 5 quid less on line crowd arnt part of our buisness plan,Basicly if you find a good local shop give them a go,I love the job we do and have made some realy good friends doing it,and fully understand That the customer can only support dealers that go that extra mile these days
  20. from a dealer point of view,we try our best to get equipment out as fast as possible,as we have always worked on the theory if you people arnt earning any money nether will we,Personaly we are dealers for both large saw companys shall we say!and there treatment of dealers is no better, they seem to have little concept of the implications of no parts in country etc,or care from what i can gather,What im basicly saying yes there are some bad dealers / repair places out there,im fully aware of this,But many of us realy do care about what we do and the service we offer, and some of these larger manuactures realy dont help, the dealer end user realationship at all
  21. i have used snap on for years, yes its dear but if it breaks they will replace it,sadly snapped a screwdriver, then bust an impact socket,Snap on man came round, who i dread to think how much hes had out of me and my 3 fitters over the years,Sorry mate carnt replace them, you have broken them by being rough with them!!,I will never give these crooks a penny again,And to make it worse, our apprentice bought a burgan half inch ratchet off ,some bloke in a van traveller type, that broke, and he swapped it no questions asked, and couldnt have been more helpful,Oh can you tell im upset lol:001_smile:
  22. We had a chap in on saturday, saying his ride on hadnt been right since we serviced it 3 yrs ago,Would you not have mentioned it sooner ,im sure i would,Then was a little upset when we wouldnt service it for free this year,as its never been right etc etc etc
  23. We charge about 100 ish for 14in cylinder mower,People up here wont pay any more,Looks like youve got your work cut out there!!,Ive just been pricing a new grinder up,its going to have to do some work to justyfy the price,i know we can be a bit tight up north but it made me splutter!
  24. Yes it broke down last year,we were going to bring it in sooner, but we forgot,Can you do it now,we can pop back in a few hours if that helps!!etc etc All day long today lol
  25. Having spent all day,(and i do mean all day) trying to load the m tronic software onto our workshop computer, that cost me 400 quid may i add, things used to be a lot easier ,just repairing saws the way we always have,a backwards step for the user and dealer selling the things id think!
