One of our tractor drivers was cutting a football field which he had done for years when the front wheels went down and rested on the sump only to find out there was an old mineshaft in the field, it must have been collapsing underneath for a long time.

I love the sound of my petrol splitter as it splits the logs. A lovely cracking noise.

Many years ago did some work on a new site for McAlpine's priced it a £1500 and was finished in 12 hours, the only thing with big companies it take up to 90 day's to get paid.

Most hardwoods are okay to burn everyone has their favourite type, I have a mixture of alsorts not to fussy, I have burned dead standing poplar it's not the best but mixed in was not to bad, but as the comments say keep it off the ground on pallets or the like, to get air circulating around it, and you should leave it for a good few months to dry a bit.

We have trouble giving ours away, not the best, if you mix it with other wood it helps.

Same thing with ours frothy diesel I just fill it slower and this seems to help.

We have had no problems with them the turbo one seems to uses more fuel than the non turbo version though.

PS. the weight unladen is just over 3.5 ton we filled the back full of chip with tools and TW 190 on the back and it came in just over 6 ton.

Our 5.5 ton 4x4 daily does about 14mpg or there about 65litres lasts just over a week local driving.

Take it off if possible and carry it on the trailer. -
We had a 07 crew cab with a steel frame and plyboard front and sides and we were still very near to the 3ton mark with men and kit on, so go for the lightest option.

My work mate has had both hands done now the first was last year and second was this june he was off for a couple of months, but say's his hands are back to normal now.

It's a 5.5 ton we had it on the weighbrige and it was 3.5 empty.

Some more photo's of the truck, full load of chip, tools and chipper came in at 6000ks.

We have a 1996 036 which is still used often, not every day but still a few time a week.

The picture looked familiar to me just had a look on e-bay and there is a stihl 011 AV top handle chainsaw for sale on the same table with the same building in the background but it say's Shropshire where it's based.
