  1. Oh yeah. Just need a log burner in there. But would it fit against the bench, or am I going to have to lower the bench?.?????.
  2. What he said. Aspen will be a LOT better for you with or without a nose bleed problem. Are you sure its exhaust fumes and not the dust going up that is causing an issue? I used to clean grain stores out a lot and found that without a mask I would get bleeds very often even when I was finishing and walking out the stores when I thought I was clear of the dust. Turned out the dust would act like sand paper against the inside blood vessels and rupture them. I changed masks from the paper things to a proper one with canisters, would wear it until I was definatly clear.
  3. Been looking at carb boots today. They all look similar but do many interchange between saws? Obviously the size of the saw makes a difference. But thinking more about new to old. So would the ms360 say fit the 048? Or the 440 fit another older saw??
  4. And if it didn't it would soon be really boring and un interesting. Plus I think techy s sniff too much de greaser in the day and the brain cells disappear. Or we're just high as kites all day so anything is funny.:lol:
  5.:lol::lol: Any chance it could do it properly like the fighter jet ones. Will make sure it gets me far away? I'm sure you could tweak it up for me.
  6. Fantastic. I'm in stitches, made my day that one.:lol: Thank you.
  7. Yeah yeah. I'm tired. Just tried to undo the pull start assembly on the 200t, woundering why it won't undo. Then realize I'm using the stihl combi spanner with the flat head screwdriver on it not the torx bit......... I'm quitting and having a snooze.
  8. Sorry gardenkit didn't see you had put that post up before mine... Think I will just get back to the 200t now. Need more coffee to stay awake.
  9. Yeah yeah yeah I know. It isn't sitting well with me at the moment I can tell you  I'm in no way ready to throw on the slippers and smoking jacket just yet
  10. Not really sure how a parts list can give the right filter. There are many types of these filters of varying size yet they all look the same, the carb inlet from filter will be the same dimensions so will the holding screws, yet the outer of the filter could be wrong. Just an assumption as the choke control doesn't touch the choke lever in filter. Meaning the filter could be too small for the saw. Just an observation. If someone had a 038 they could measure there filter and see.
  11. Ok so your right. Yes a toy boy with a very scrummy mummy. Yes my partner is 39, her girl (my step daughter) is 21, so I suppose the correct term should be step granddad. Yes both baby and mother are very well. Mother has some issue with bleeding but nothing bad and is under control. Anyway. Thank you both. Gardenkit. 4 weeks isn't long. Hope she is set and ready for it. It was a very emotional item for me as my boy was emergency c section and we very nearly lost him. So it brought back all the memory's but they didn't last long as I thought about how well and smart he is now. Anyway, grandpa to be then? First?
  12. Wounder if that's the right filter for the saw?
  13. It was ok. Went there, her waters broke on the way, she was in there until 5 and she had some problems so emergency cecerien. Got home about 8, had a couple of hours sleep. A good healthy baby girl, 6lb 11oz. So that makes me a granddad at 28. The blower and 200t have turned up at home. So on to them for a bit later. Thanks for asking Barrie. Hope all is well with you.
  14. It was. It was my signature for a time. Also posted the engineers flow chart. If anyone wants to know it just google image it.
  15. Thats brilliant, my doctor receptionist is always doing that. I'm going to try it one day.
  16. Well for jonsie its easy. On next years show. I agree with the low key affair, just a short notice that the new zigzag is available to buy. If dealers push it that's up to them. I can't see it flying off the shelf as quick as the first one did. Once bitten twice shy I guess. Or they will bring it out alongside other new bits of kit.
  17. Is it me or is anyone else looking at the landy shell its leaning on more??
  18. Back to the world of the living. Got an ms200t coming in, started over revving and then dying out, air leak somewhere, my guess is the carb boot, but cold be crank seals. Will know with a few tests. A br400, starter pully keeps stripping cord. And the 048av to go back. How did I fix it? Shrink wrap is the best invention ever. It's a tempory fix until the pipe arrives. Also a strimmer to go back, split fuel hose. And an old echo blower with split fuel pipes to go back. Clearing out for the bank holiday weekend. I hope.
  19. Good looking. And even got air con. As its been said. Earth every time.
  20. Wounder if there a way to engineer the 200t catch to it?
  21. Yes two hoses. I hate that design. Ok so the fuel isn't leaking back down to the tank. That means its back to carb. Strip it. Clean it, and check the settings on it. The manual I sent you should have the info on there. Have a really good read of it. I'm out for a bit as the step daughter is in labour again now and we are off to hospital.
  22. This bit o don't get. Think you mean a compression test. 130-150 bar (personally I think you mean psi) bar would blow the engine to pieces is good. And with the decomp in 50 is also very good. The decomp is exactly what it says on the tin. Allows the compression to go so its easier starting and better for the recoil and you.
  23. Yes it would. By removing the clutch and starting it up (clamped in a vice not just held or left on the bench) I don't think its an air leak in the engine crank case parts. Have you removed he fuel cap and tried it? Is the fuel primer bulb the right one. Had one once that was the wrong size bowl and not sealing around the carb. This meant it leaked air around it. And didn't stay pressured up. Give the bulb squeeze and fill the line and bulb with fuel. Then just leave it and watch it for a few mins. See if the fuel goes back down the line quick or the bulb empties quick.
  24. Could just see it now. Cutter, "yeah I get it fell all the pines" Gov, "but not the ones with dishes in them" Cutter, "your loopy mate" An hour later no mobile signal....
  25. Yeah and spend hours stripping an engine down when the clutch could a fault all along. What's the point in starting to stip it to pieces again when there is already one issue that needs sorting. Pressure and vac testing a strimmer is a pain. Especially the fs400. He crank seals can go on strimmers. But then so can everything else.
