  1. can't wait to try one out at the show. It's something I will never personally buy. But if I try it out I can then recommend it to people o repair tools for. Not that I havnt been telling people about it, just that I have never tried it and I can't recommend anything unless I try it.
  2. I just got given a mount field roller drive lawn mower. Beat that one....
  3. Yeah come on Felix. We are in a world of technology. Why go and see someone personally when you can just keep calling and texting and woundering why you are not getting a reply..... This guy said it right.
  4. Yeah means I can undo it when I switch to the other end of the rope. Rather than having to pull all the rope up and take it off the end. Or carry another set up lot and hook it on the other end. I use use it with a prussik, I've tried other knots but prefer the prussik. The honey brothers one is close to mine. I use a stein sky walker double hole pulley. Just didn't see the point in three holes. That's all. And use a bit of small para cord and small tool carabiner thingy to attach pulley to other end of line. Rather than use a huge carabiner for a simple non load bearing part.
  5. Hitch climber is good. I use whenever I rec climb. Easy to undo mid line. Unlike some mechanical systems. Have seen the spider jack and lock jack used, didn't think they looked too bad.
  6. HA HA. Funny man, The hedgecutter is for he friend that lost his wife recently so its a favour job. Easier for me to just buy another recoil if I can. And yes I have huge hands. The recoil plastic is about 1 1/2 inch deep so trying to push a spring that far down while rotating and holding it is impossible. Oh and as for quality kit the owner of the husky has decided its probably better to have the work done than get an injury from it. Now that is one heap of junk I wish he would have taken away with him. Damn junk thos husky things.:001_tt2:
  7. Oh the list is just getting very very long. The 1/2 inch socket set. The 30 piece Allen key set. Stihl torx t bar. Flat files. Round files. Of nearly every size. Depth gauges. Callipers. Measuring, Then there's the other stuff. A drum of chain oil. But will probably get this online as its just big and heavy. The metal stihl snack box. Might have to get the coffee press for the jetboil for a friend. Want a jetboil but will have to wait and see if I can swing it past the missis. But if there are any chainsaw parts I come up with between now and then is there a chance I can let you know. So long as you have it in stock or I give enough notice for you to get them.
  8. Nothing runs like a Deere. :thumbup1: Use to drive a 6910 and an 8100 when I worked on farm. They where lovely and the 8100 was nothing but a workhorse, the whole tractor was built for anything. Huge long front end that rarely needed the front weights on. Ah reminiscing now.
  9. Right. Recoil spring for this damn hedge cutter. It's. a stiga one. Sorry can't remember the numbers but I just can't get the spring back in it no matter how much I swear at it. Did try making up a jig that I could wind the spring in then just press it in, but no joy. So does anyone know who is a stiga parts dealer please. Will get the numbers off it tomoz.
  10. Damn I miss driving the deeres. Need to look out for a few driving jobs now harvest is coming.
  11. To be honest the lid I brought was a bad choice from the go. Will not be buying another. Just going to the show so will be a good chance to get a new one.
  12. No it's to yellow. Orange one. Just not comfy at all. And without good breathing inside it I just sweat non stop. Will be looking at show anyway.
  13. What cruel to kicking the dog out just for mick??? Either that or I just don't think its very nice saying mick is a dog....
  14. That looks nasty. Take it the pot is worse. Could rebuild it again if you have the time.
  15. My last lid was knackerd. Cracked and ruined. The lid I use now is an Oregon one and to be honest is rubbish anyway. The earmuffs will fall off on the circle bit that they rotate on. And they are just not shaped well. Can get uncomfortable after an hour of wearing them. And the lid doesn't breath, not enough air holes in it. Will loot into a better one at the show.
  16. I thought it was five years anyway. Didn't matter what make it was.
  17. Before the due date if its knackerd. I'm getting a new lid at the forestry show. Only because my ear defenders are getting knackerd. It's generally down to the individual to make the call, unless its gone past the date, and if you have an accident and its one past the date, would an ins company cover you???
  18. OI :lol: we are not all that bad. Some of us have some standards. It's just not any old dog we find you know. Has to be a crufts dog at least:001_tt2:
  19. Would be more interesting.
  20. I really should keep the plugs I pull out of saws and put them aside. Maybe I could just post a load of them over to you spud.
  21. Need a picture. I'm thinking your looking at the porcelain bit.....
  22. Ok someone really needs to explains this to me as I'm lost The husky and makita are going back without being fixed. Yet the ryobi saw is getting fixed..........
  23. It's the old style of drill a few holes in the exhaust of a nova to make it sound cool. But will fail the next mot.
  24. Just  Had to dig the hole back nearly a metre to get it.
  25. Not necessarily, an exhaust mod alone will not richen the mix up that much. A tach tune is always advised. You are more at risk from a lean running saw than a rich running saw. Plug colour is always important.
