  1. Just whatched a programme called Miranda, she was going to do a jump and her friend asked if they made a parachute big enough for her. Instantly thought of this thread.
  2. Ha I know nothing in comparison to you two. But I'm learning every time I see the work you do.
  3. Argh now you see there is too much choice. Think I'm looking forward to going to Scotland more than getting married now. I'm going to see if she is up for a trip along the north coast. Stopping at different places. We will be driving up as the other DOESN'T fly. Lol
  4. Yeah we are looking at a spring wedding. The other wants to go Scotland in winter and hit the snow. I'm not so sure incase of getting home. But then being stuck in for a few weeks wouldn't go amiss. But I don't think the kids would survive that long without us. Lol
  5. The great thing about this thread is its best of both worlds. Not only are people putting there own work up for others to see but you have spud with more chainsaw knowledge than husky and stihl put together, then there's gardenkit with all the knowledge you would need for mowers and horticultural gear.
  6. Ok now I'm getting stuck. The whole place looks beautiful. All that untouched landscape to see. Thanks for all the ideas and yes big j I would love those details of you. Pm me when you can.
  7. Programmes are huge business, the iPad and iPhone with apps are the way forward, using iCloud to send all your stuff to the PC and printers is vital. Any apps that produce blanks that all you have to is fill in the gaps with what you need to would be perfect, various apps like on for quotes on tree work, garden work, landscaping. Etc. then others for h and s stuff like risk assessments. Having blanks saves typing time.
  8. The bill from the tax man is usually avoided at all costs. I try to loose it down the sofa but the other half always finds it. Actually typing out quotes and trying to remember what you saw and thought is usually hard, especially when you have looked at more than one in a day.
  9. Thanks again for super fast sorting and delivery. Boots are good. Didn't expect them to be huge. My big feet are to blame for that. Even though they were not in stock they still turned up 3 days after purchase. Excellent as always very pleased.
  10. Fair point. That's why I have said about 660, Checked f r jones and the 880 is 1161 incl vat with the biggest bar. That's actually not bad if you've looked elsewhere. But then as with stihl policy over selling saws I guess fuel costs would have to be added going to get it.
  11. That place looks good. Emailed them asking about prices:thumbup:
  12. It's going to take me all night to read those questions. I do like the security device one I have gotten o so far. Reading the rest tomorrow. I don't see why eBay take these ads down?
  13. Man up, your an arborist for Peter sake.
  14. That is an absolutely cracking description. Best one I've seen in a while. It runs along the same one as a bloke selling a pimp car. Went on about street cred and picking up prostitutes.
  15. Ok so looking at setting my honeymoon in Scotland. But where? A few on here I know live and work up there so where is good? We want a week in almost solitary confinement with to hint around us, the other would like a log cabin type place. Open fire, nice views all the trimmings?
  16. I would be thinking about going out on one of them there boats than doing any work.
  17. I would look again. I got pulled by saying this and f r jones (as an example) was 1100 for saw and bar. Don't know about husky as not had much exp using them. Stihl ms660 maybe. The 880 is a big heavy saw to lug about all day.
  18. Physio help I want to hear you say that just after you have been to see them.. Speedy recovery. You could do something but careful you don't go blind now.
  19. Damn it no fair too far away. Boooooo
  20. Welcome. The three screws operate the low and high revs end the third is tickover. Adjust the tickover until the bar just about moves then turn back quarter turn. Try this if this fails check the obvious first. Air filter clean, spark plug is good. Remove the spark plug and attach the lead, while holding this against the engine casing (cooling fins are good) pull the starter and see if you are getting good spark. Do this when engine is warm. Does it do it cold or only after using it for a while? Will it do it if you leave the saw running and allow it to warm up or just when you make it work hard?
  21. Yeah check that when the switch is moved to off there should be a metal plate that makes contact with the earth connection wire. If they don't meet then it won't turn off. The 261 will be easier to start with than the 200. So take the air covers off and check ther eis a connection. Also look for corruption on either the plate or the earth contact. Easy way is to give it a spray with wd40 and then try it. Failing that take the pull start assembly off and make sure the two wires are contacts or the coil.
  22. Going to have to look into this. I got a 4 mix that hasn't been used in ages as it will only run full throttle, not good with a chain on end. Gave up using it due to being unreliable and really rough at running. Checked the tapped clearance and cleaned the carb through so will have to check this one out.
  23. To be honest I was confident with it anyway. Just never said so. I had taken them apart before to take a saw apart. Hence the broken up one in the pics with the large splitting maul. I had the idea of doing this to make a laugh out of doing the job and see the reactions I would get. I like or try and have a laugh sometimes and it was making me chuckle setting the broken down saw out on the bench. Plus all the bad press with the 200t carbs and what not thought it would brighten a few people's days as its probably what some people would love to do with this saw. Anyway I'm glad I brightened a few people's days. Was looking for spud to see the pics and what his relation was but didn't get one. Sorry but the whole thread was planned from the start, exept for the kindness of mark sky land sending out a spare for a donation to arbtalk that IMO is/was and always will be worth it for this site
  24. before all the husky lovers start jumping up and down here's the final pic. thanks again to mark skyland.
