  1. I agree with everything gives you cancer thing. If everyone followed that we would all starve to death. So have they come up with a new and wounder full chemical to replace it yet? I'm waiting for the new press release of glyphosate is now very hazardous to your health but hear is a new chemical that is not but its twice the cost..... Then five years down the line it will all start again.
  2. Hmmm I'm not sure as I havnt spoken to the owner of the saw yet. But I'm never one to judge anyone On how they use a saw. Just have to give the best advice I can when I return the saw or talk on the phone to see if they want a part replaced. If it was my saw it would have a whole new bar and a few new chains made up. Going to have to seriously advice about the chunk on the bar as at best guess I can say it got stuck and they tried smashing it out with something harder than the bar. Hasn't done any good to the bar at all. I've ground the burrs off the bar and had a good look to see it its bent. It's not so its just one side that is damaged.
  3. Had an ms250 tonight. Not feeding oil. Easy fix had two stroke in it. Bar had a huge chunk out of one side at the end. Looks like it has been hit hard with a hammer. And two chains to sharpen. Not saying anything about how toe stroke ended up in the oil tank or how the bar had a chunk out of it but a few words of wisdom to the owner will never hurt.
  4. I was about to say your bench looks very tidy there spud. Until I relised it was you freezer. Thought gardenkits cleaning frenzy was catching then.
  5. Test cricket where did you get the crane from and how much was it please. That looks like a good investment.
  6. Lets be honest here. If a film crew came and filmed you in a wood for a year trying to sort it out. It would be the most boring programme on tely. They have to try and make it interesting at least.
  7. Ok. Just using the 034 on pine this week and it was a bit sluggish lacked a certain kick. Would love to use it ported and see what difference it would make. Might have to ask Santa what he can bring me.

It's a Severn class boat. It's the city of London 11. 17m long. Got to ride on the firedeck last night with the coxswain. It's all new to them so they are still getting used to using it. Done a few collision stops (if that's right) and it just stops quicker than my car then shunts into reverse. Throws you out the seat when it does.

Just got back from the station. What a cracking night. Got invited out on the boat. Completely not expecting to but went along. They done a medi vac training and we then went out into the channel for a quick burn as the boats engines are new. What a thrill. This thing powerd through the water. I loved every second of it. Not got my pager yet so will see on Sunday. It's definatly something I want to get into, the lads are a cracking bunch aswell. Did get invited down the pub but wanted to get home to see my boy as I went straight there after work. I can see now why you loved it so much and was sad to leave gardenkit.
  10. I was talking about ported saws today. Is there a reason only husky can be ported? Why not stihl?
  11. I'm afraid work has got me now. The job I'm on is definatly going to overrun into the weekend. It's a bummer as I was looking forward to it. Will def try and catch the next one.
  12. Now you've started something. I was avoiding that for a very good reason. Just buy a new carb. Failing that spud or gardenkit could probably help you out.
  13. He said oldest saw mark. There's no time jumping allowed
  14. Agree. New carb is the way to go. Would you really trust a recon carb?
  15. I've found that with old machines the new plugs now don't last five mins. Done it on my series 2a and a new set burnt out after 2 days. Put an old set from a breakers yard from a mini in and it was still going when I sold it.
  16. I wasn't really asking about ripping people off. More about anyone who found that the storm helped kick start there business.
  17. Ok. I do remember reading something about it a while ago. Just didn't pay much attention as most hedges I do are about 2m anyway. If not they soon get made that way.
  18. I remember living in the sticks. We were sourounded by trees. Remember waking up and looking for the trees wondering why there was so much light around. The greenhouse was upside down in a field 300 yards away.
  19. A 048av. Bloody great thing. But goes like the clappers. He a bit of work done to it. Rethreaded the exhaust. But good saw.
  20. I thought this had been around for a while?
  21. That's he one. Saw him on tely. Is he still on here?
  22. So how many people on here made there money from this storm?? I could see it as a use time. How many people started up here buisiness from the storm. I know a few around me that got themselves going after.
  23. Just watching the one show and its the blog about school dinners. Wasn't that someone on here????
  24. No problems with my stihl ms260, Maybe the grass isn't so green on the other side after all.
