Any arbtalking veg growers in da house?

Very much pondering over spuds this year. With the wet weather and all the spud crops around us failing I left it. Might have to chuck some in now the weather is on the up. FYI, can't get hold of a sack of spuds for less than 14 quid. That's the big sacks not the silly ones from a supermarket. -
That's making me cringe looking at the pics. But I do like the first comment after tho. I love you a little for posting this. Will be checking back to see amazing progress. Also please don't interfere with his process, this needs to happen organically. If you start to help him by teaching him how a rebar, concrete and a level work the work will lose its authenticity.

Lovely and warm. The sun is out and it warm enough for just a jumper. Been down park with boy and first ice cream of the year. Top notch. It can carry on now aswell.

I'm always shocked how I can do a full week of brash work and to get one cut. But the moment I start doing the house I end up like a pin cushion.

Day off today. And with no car had no excuse to disappear down lifeboat either. So I HAD (got ordered) to help the other half in the garden. So first off was fix the snapped washing line. A quick double sheet bend and all good. Then it was the pond. Pump not working. Took it apart and the shaft had broken. A quick pound shop superglue and all good now. I've got to say that the pound shop superglue, comes in little shot tubes, is fantastic. I've done loads of little repairs with it and it holds perfectly.

All this talk of steak is making me hungry. Brings me back to summer with the Barbie running and my infamous BBQ marinated steak with a very special blend of spices. (So good I had to fight to get any) Stop it.

Butter burns too quick in a very hot pan. Plain old veg oil. About a tablespoon. The steak releases enough fat to cook itself in anyway.

I have been told. And it always works. By a butcher to put the steak in boiling water for a min or two. Then cook it. The hot water will start to cook the inside enough that when going in the pan you are cooking the outside to perfection but because the inside is already warm it won't require a lot. Works every time. Anyway why medium. Killing a poor steak that is..... If it doesn't moo when I stab it with the fork I don't want it.

Ok. Just looked back and forgot a very important question. What colour is the smoke? Good news and bad. Parts are available for them. Most gasket sets are available uk. But main engine parts are America. The Americans love these bikes. Hey call them tanks. They just keep going. Being sat in a shed for four years is NOT good. Before you thrash the bike put a tablespoon of oil in the cylinder and leave it for a short while then fire it up and leave it running on tickover. Worst is where it has sat the rings have formed a bit of corrosion on them and by starting up after four years you could damage the cylinder. This is what happend with the trx350. It spent the best part of a year sitting in the yard awaiting parts from America. (They sent the wrongs parts so had to mess about with them)

Fuel problem. It's hunting for revs. Change fuel filter. Clean air filter. Check tank for pickup filter and clean. Normally just blow back down the fuel line. Has it been run on empty not so long ago?

Just been looking at parts pat. You could be ok with this one. Can get oversized piston rings for it. But by the sounds of it the piston should be ok. But tests will determin otherwise. Best thing is to get hold of it. Rag it around for a short while and see how she is running. I take it you have had it running yourself to find out it smokes for a bit then stops?

I must say that some motorbike exhausts do also fit. I was looking for a new one for the trx that I fixed. Found a motorbike one that would fit perfectly for only 30 quid from ebay. With a bit of searching parts from other machines do fit these bikes. Pat. Could be better than the trx350 above then. That one was 1984. Will see what I can dig up on them.

Ok. Sounds like an old one then. The bigger had an oil cooler on them. Seems like your hasn't, not a problem. Have a tool look around the front of the frame for the numbers. They may or may not be there but worth checking. If you do send anything down to me check it turns over ok. I can bench test the engine but need the important parts like starter etc.
