  1. I've had them at the door. Well I'm sure I have as very day I came home last week there was more junk fliers in the letterbox..... But was a bit unsure the local take away was running for parliment......
  2. Maybe... I could rebuild a 036. Would require new pot and piston and a few bits that have been robbed for other saws. Might be an idea. But I know it will get robbed by its original owner  Will have to keep an eye out. I keep seeing repair ones on ebay but they go for stupid money that I may aswell but new......
  3. Try this one for seals. Simply Bearings Ltd ~ Oil Seals SKF FAG TIMKEN KOYO NTN NKE TRULOC Needle Rollers Taper Rollers Rod Ends Oilite Bushes Loose Balls O Rings Grease Plain Thrust
  4. I actually need to get myself a stihl chainsaw...... Was in need of a decent saw today and relised my old saw is just not reliable enough anymore. Never actually brought one just work on them. So I'm gong to look for an ms260. Use one when working with d a tree surgeons and need to get one for myself. Either that or a nice 039 with a muffler mod. (Wink wink Andy)
  5. I've been using sawbits also. Just the piston tho as didn't need a cylinder until this week. Great service and fast aswell.
  6. How would you come to that conclusion??.. Not sure how the law would see it as criminal. They where the tenants and in the law its there responsibility to look after the house and grounds. If the tree was three times the size and effecting foundations would it still be criminal????
  7. To be honest if its not in the agreement that they can't touch the garden you havnt got a leg to stand on.
  8. It's a meteor kit. Will see when it arrives from Greece.
  9. I've just ordered a cylinder kit for the 200t. Tried one of those yet? Be interested to see the finish on cylinder.
  10. These things are awesome. But they have been around for years.invented for ladies back in the day. Keep there hand warm. I havnt got one as I don't suffer the cold but know a few that do. I have felt the warmth they give off ad it's actually hot when you take the top off.
  11.:lol: Do you know him well ed???
  12. Thank you gardenkit. But I do wish I had your weather, been raining all day today. Hail stone earlier..... After greenmech was an ms280. Just not running right. Cleaned carb, checked meter arm height. Then checked tank vent. It's gone. Nw one in, would run perfectly without air filter, but die in a cut with. So cleaned that. All good now. A powerfull little saw. But not my favourite stihl saw by a long shot. Horrible and ugly looking. Then it was a 039. A fellow arb talkers saw. Had an exhaust mod done (not by me) so a tune up and check. Chain was jumping a little aswell. So new plug in run up and checked colour. A little white. So leaned it up a bit and tuned it down on the tickover. Chain not jumping anymore. Now its home and tea time me thinks.
  13. Why I LOVE greenmech chippers. Had one in for a change of feed rollers today. The top one fell out easily. Stripped cleaned and back together. The bottom one however didn't. The Allen head bolt stripped off. So out with the drill and drill it out. Removed the pump and plate from other side and the roller knocked out this way. All ok exept the bearing has gone. So new bearing needed, and new Allen head bolt needed. Not a bad job and enjoyed it. A nice and simple job really. Greenmech really build good chippers.
  14. Could be the crank seals. If its on its side a runs better the crank is moving against the seal and stopping the air leak in the crank case. Of course the breather could also be the problem.
  15. Not on the bench but the RNLI trailer needed some TLC. Brakes seized on. A strip down clean up re grease and all good.
  16. Mine hates it. If its too long she is moaning about it. So I grow it just to wind her up. That's a thousand yard stare and will never get lost.:lol: Some good work there.
  17. That's called a midlife crisis :lol::lol:
  18. Nope completely right rob. Also decrease the file size. All will be taught on the course.
  19. Wow. I must just need a holiday then... I do fall over in the morning when I try and get my socks on. I can't even do my boot laces up until I have got to working as I can't bend over that early...... I'm not looking forward to the silly o'clock pager call I must say.... Good job I'm on workbench stuff tomoz.
  20. What eddy said. But I only use the .025. To be honest there is not much in it. The stihl ones are good as they have the open end and you can just tilt it and use it to protect the cutting edge then tilt it back to check.
  21. It's not my age I'm worried about. I'm really struggling to get up in morn and find I'm out of puff easily when brash dragging. More than normal. Need to stop every now and again. Never mind must be the season, and the thought of a sprog coming. More sleepless night ahead. Don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to it a bit. Just lethargic.....
  22. A very small electrical type screwdriver and a finger covering the clip while doing it or you will never find it again.... Good luck.
  23. Ed your looking like your firearms license pic again. You need a shave.
