  1. Husky can't be that good. Everyone is porting them to make them run faster and more power..... Don't seem to see many stihl saws ported..??? Run with stihl the make of a saw doesn't matter, its what you are using it for that counts.
  2. Ok. So the simple stuff is covered. No your onto the difficult stuff that is best done with testing equipment and money spent. So question over your location? Second the saw isn't worth much so money spent fixing will be better put towards another saw. For ground work you will never beat the ms260 now the 261. A good used one will last you easily enough. If worrying over the cost of a saw then think how many jobs before a reliable saw will earn you... Even logging your own timber!
  3. Why a husky again..... Shame as the 441 is awesome. Or the ms660 is also a Beafy saw with plenty of power for what you want. But then you could go for the daddy and get the 880. Would last years with maintanace and hold its value very well if you sell it on.
  4. Yawn. This has been on before and has done the rounds many times on Facebook. If my son had 100 quid I would like to know what of mine he has sold to make that amount.
  5. Now now no drerail please. It bugging me and I need to know these things. My head will think about them otherwise. Also can we have explanations of using things like lmao or IMO etc. these I know but some others I don't. But what would really really really help is a translator for mendiplogs.:lol:
  6. Don't just press it. Hit it repeatedly until something cool happens. Stil no answer on what the symbols mean. Sorry but I just don't know and its bugging me.
  7. Chainsaw juggling maybe....
  8. But then it goes back to the argument over having all the tickets and not a clue what they are doing. Tickets mean nothing.... Etc.
  9. Oh relax and put the dummy back in. Just a bit of friendly banter. As for safe well no ones going to say yes to that. As if you fell it would be a "well some guys on a forum said it would be ok" IMO leave the harness as it is and modify add ons to fit it better. If you have no trust in the rings then add something along with the rings as a backup. Or have a metal cable made up that connects everything. I have and I now trust it more than I did when I first used it.
  10. I can probably knock you up some square ones but they won't be or do the same job as the real ones....:lol:
  11. Saw details needed please. And would he want oem or copy?
  12. Sorry wont do it on iPad and the computer is now an anchor
  13. Ok. I can re some sort of reasoning behind it but. It looks to be only forestry that is effected. So now define forestry. And what tickets are going to be refreshed. 30 and 31 ok. But any more. Felling medium. Or anything else that is needed for forestry.
  14. So I have seen several things next to the threads title. One is a paper clip. I know this means attachment. But what about the others. Some has an arrow type tag. Others have what looks like a dustbin! What do these ones mean? Sorry if it sounds thick but can't find much on the subject in the forum settings etc.
  15. There is one small issue I have noticed with the ports. The finish for the cylinder lining has left a sharp edge on on side of each port. They are beveled but I will file this down smooth. It's the sort of thing that can break off and get into the cylinder causing a mess. Can just make it out on the pic. Sticking up about a mm from the bottom (on the pic, but top if cylinder the right way up)
  16. Yep it is. You had me worried there. Definatly a 200 cylinder. Looking at the exhaust port there. And the pot is upside down in the pic.
  17. Feels like I'm the only one doing any work latley. The piston cylinder kit turned up from meteor this morn. And I'm impressed. The piston is the usual high standard from meteor. The cylinder is also perfect. Comes in a grey/black colour, the pot is nice and shiny, may need honing a little. The ports are good. Intake is a little rough but exhaust is nice and smooth. The ports are also beveled nicely. So its a thumbup from me so far. Will be fitting soon.
  18. If you replace the system that the manufacturer put in then if there is a failure will ins etc pay out? Would it be seen as unsafe mods. Or not to manufacturers spec? I don't know but just putting the thought out there. I like the rings on mine and I have added a metal cable that I had made between the rings that is slightly longer than the bridge and acts as an emergency backup. I didn't like the bridge but it is staying on.
  19. Reminds me I must get on with my saw.
  20. That's called a metering arm. A pig if you remove the screw as it has a very small spring. For now just check it moves pulling the plunger part and it goes back down on its own. Also hold the black gasket piece up to some light and check no holes in it. Next is the other side of carb. Depending s on the setup of carb depends what's there, should get down to the metal of the carb, there are holes and channels, should be a guaze filter in the holes, would be the other side of the plunger parts on the carb. This could need a clean.
  21. Not a hope in hell of me hugging you spud....... I've seen you in your vids... Would rather hug a ducks behind :001_tt2::lol::lol::lol:
  22. Remove the carb take it apart carefully and clean it out carefully with cleaners. Also gives the chance to give it the once over. If your not sure or mechanically minded best to let someone else do the dirty work. If the saw is worth anything to you. (I say to you as most will say its not but if its your only saw then its worth some thing to you)
