  18. this thread is giving me the heebie jeebies! when I was about 5 my dad used to like me and my brother to sleep in the spare bedroom downstairs as he used to work nights and didnt want disturbing. the spare bedroom used to be an large outbuilding but was incorporated into the main house. so one night soon after we were put to bed it was still light outside but suddenly the room became overcast and really cold, then from right the other end of the room a small figure around 5 feet apeared and moved slowly towards me and my brother who shared a bed. the figure was really quite bright and i was trying to figure out what it was, untill i was that freaked out i dare not look anymore. so i covered my eyes and when i opened them a few seconds later the figure was gone. my brother was looking too but he was a toddler and when i ask him he says he cant remember what happened it was uber weird and it still puzzles me to this day.

  20. price it by the meter, thats what I do. plus it's a great way of giving the customer a quick quote on the spot when pricing per meter of hedging.
  21. i was on a building site a number of years ago and i was paranoid as hell about my kit going missing, so of all places i popped my ms361 at the back of my truck on the access road whilst being at the back with the chipper. anyway one of the builders needed me to reverse out of the way of an incoming cement lorry. so i quickly said righto! hopped in the truck and proceeded to reverse, oh the scoring noise still haunts me when i drove over my beloved saw, argh. rather an expensive repair bill that was!

  23. topping out some 40 foot connifers a couple of years ago i was too busy enjoying myself to notice that i hadnt put my strop around an adequate hasrness point, and oh dear the branch beneth me gave way at such speed and therefore my anchor point ripped out. im surprised i didnt break my ass that day as i broke every branch on the way down through the middle of the hedge, luckilly the hedge was not effected astheticly as it was the dead branches in the middle. i had a sore ass but crown jewels were unscathed, whoop.
