  1. Hi Drink 2 pints of water before you turn in, this helps to prevent dehydration which leads to head ache. Next day, drink water, orange juice and have an enormous fry up. generally sorts it. N
  2. Hmm, What a disgrace, law and order means nothing to these people so they should be treated accordingly. Yet another reason to no longer live in the dis-united kingdom. There was a case of some Romanian Gypsies in northern France making a nuisance of themselves so the French rounded them up & shipped them back to Romania. The EU stated it was against their human rights, but the French only listen to what suits them. N
  3. Hi No covers over mags here, It may even be mandatory to flirt your norks if youre a well fit bird, they do it all the time on the beach & long may it continue. N
  4. Hmm, looks like a good idea, but wont you need a lot more horse shoes? my wine rack holds a couple of hundred bottles - but no where near as attractive. N
  5. Bonsoir tout le monde, My OH remarked this evening " I hate to say this but Im feeling rather cool" check thermometer = 26 degrees in shade. N

Merci, its not like you can ream then tap them out to put a screw cap in, perhaps one day Stihl will see the light & get rid of them or offer an adaptor to convert them back to screw thread caps. N

Good news, The finance director (OH) has finally approved funding ! A visit to FR Jones in the not too distant future for a 365 XTorq. I did consider a 391 which is a similar price, however a number of things discouraged me: 1. Stihls internet sales policy is rather juvenile. 2. Most dealers around here are Husqvarna the only Stihl one charges a lot. 3. The easy fit filler caps are maddening, Ive had oil & fuel over my chaps from incorrectly fitting & always double check now. They are also prone to collect oily sawdust in places that eventually permit ingress to the tank. Where as a screw cap is much simpler and easier to keep clean. 4. I trust the air filter is going to be better than the old tights and flimsy plastic on my 250 which requires constant cleaning. Im sure its better on the Stihl pro saws but Im not impressed with this, entry level saws, maybe. Thanks for all posts, N
  9. Hi @ delabodge = Yes, there was probably about 3,000 or so seats & we were right at the front, much prefer that. @ Jon = they played the same set as Glastonbury plus a few other tracks. And no silly prices for food or at the wine bar, from 8 euros for a nice bottle of wine or take your own. N
  10. Hello, But we did go to the Saint Emilion Jazz Festival to see Chic with Nile Rodgers was absolutely fab. A lot of free performances, very laid back atmosphere, great local food & really nice wine. N
  11. I'll second that, I sent many a pleasant evening at the Drovers during my time at Faslane, excellent pub & lovely drive to get there along the loch. Try & visit the Isle of Sky if possible, the home of Talisker. N
  12. Hi Jon, Southern Vendee, France - today was a real scorcher but been low thirties for a while now, our thermometer was at 38 in deep shade - think 35 was forecast but its usually a bit pessimistic. Thankfully our house stays cool as it has very thick walls and shutters to keep the heat out. N
  13. That should be Jon in hot Somerset on your footer then! Its really good to see the UK is getting a long awaited decent summer, not so good if you have to work in it though. Its just cooled off to 24 here. N
  14. Hi all, 38 today & still over 30 around 17.30! N
  15. Scorchio! This forecast is always a bit pessimistic, was 36 degrees today N
  16. Salute - respect. There are some good people on this forum & good luck with your new career. N
  17. Hi all, 35 in the sunny Vendee today N

Hi, The saw in France is a 365special 65cc dated 2002 at around £540 at current exchange rate. Im now swayed towards the 365XTorq 70.7cc at around £560 delivered to me in France or £518 if I go direct to Mr Jones in London, I have the opportunity to do so in September, so worth the wait. I cant say Id be one for tweaking it, but its nice to know it shares components with a larger saw & as you say is the bargain of the century. Thanks N

    Husky 365

Hi all, Had another look and discovered the year of manufacture is 2002, therefore Im swayed towards going for a 365Xtorq from Mr Jones in London who offers a reasonable price for delivery. Thanks to all those who have posted so far. N

Thanks for posting - I understand the difference now, I suspect its a 65cc version, but seems like a good price. I dont have a problem with an older model if its going to be a reliable work horse as posts suggest. N

Thanks, I did have a look at that link & price pretty well the same, I thought it was a 65cc saw but FR Jones states 70.7 cc although it may have been revised with slightly larger engine N

    Husky 365

Hi all, Bonsoir, Here in France saws are expensive, typically 1.25 times more than UK as the £ - € rate is currently pretty dismal. However, I have an opportunity to buy a Husky 365 with 20 inch bar from a very reputable dealer with a 2 year warranty for around £520 comparable price to UK dealers, I think. I will use this for cutting firewood, mainly oak which is demanding to cut. My MS250 is great for about 10-14 inches diameter, but for the fatter stuff I feel the need for something with a bit more grunt. Perhaps a bit of a man thing as every one seems to have 'a collection' (!) So the question is, with a Yes/No - is it worth it? its about what I was planning to spend on a larger saw & anything larger would be OTT - I think. if its a No, I could wait for a UK shopping visit. Thanks in advance N
  24. Hi I got mine from Go Outdoors Carabiners | GO Outdoors Tend to use DMM & Wild Country stuff hope that helps N
  25. Hi Right click the folder, at the "Label:" option, the red square should be selected, just opt for the left most like an X & it will revert to normal, see flick N
