  1. When it use to be planted and harvested for matches ( Swan Vesta ) it was used because it burned slowly . They even coated the end with wax to keep it going so , not so sure about good kindling .

  10. The ones that appear resistant need the keys harvesting to try and build up a resistant strain .

  12. I can do that with 2.4 line yes . However most of what I clattered down when working was a mixture of snot and vegetation that required a bit thicker kit than that .

  16. If you are going to use a modern synthetic 2t oil then mix it at 50:1 . 40:1 could be part of your oily residue problem .

  18. You will need to soak it in a bucket of water then . Nylon is hygroscopic and will absorb water to prevent it becoming brittle .
  19. Not the 4mm square Diamond edge line from desert extrusions . Very hard wareing .
  20. I never use all 4 slots just 2 but use a 4 slot head as it keeps the nut below flush .

  22. I hit a can of gloss white paint buried in some tall vegetation once . Hell of a mess and put the blade out of balance .
  23. Yes . I have seen some that look better that they did 3 summers a go . It seems very random .
  24. I see plenty . Most in varying stages and some in the same row of trees showing no signs at all .
  25. You need a carb kit and to re set the metering arm me thinks .
