  1. Sounds like it has nipped up . Did it over rev slightly just before it stopped ? Could be and air leak causing it to run lean . All speculation until you get a look at the piston .
  2. Especially if that center grain has gone helical . If its been dead for sometime it will be like concrete . Mechanical assistance advised .
  3. Then do you think we would get urban wolves like the foxes ?
  4. Ripped to shreds . 🙂
  5. Morning all . -1c slight frost. Have a good one .
  6. I remember mu Uncle Bob ( one of my Mums two brother ) having to go periodically into hospital to have fragments of shrapnel that eventually came to the surface , removed . He died in the end , as we all will .
  7. Conifer roots are generally pretty shallow and birch don't get very big . He needs to be more specific in terms of what he thinks the influence might be .On the one hand you might get some little birch seeds here and there to the other extreme damage to foundations , drains and subsidence . The latter is very unlikely though .
  8. Also didn't they ( the Luftwaffe ) drop one or two tenpenny ones on Coventry and London . Just saying ..
  9. This . They tried the Nato stuff and it was not suited to the war they were fighting . They ( the Ukrainians ) are innovative and clever . I am not sure we could have adapted so quickly or made such an impact on overwhelming numbers .
  10. Possibly . Something in me is not comfortable with the thought of donkeys getting shot or blown up . Ilogical I know but ...
  11. Due to equipment ( vehicular ) losses Russia is now using donkeys to transport ammo and kit to soldiers on the front line .
  12. Good morning all . 0c and cloudy ( again ) here .

I get the analogy Mark re the truck engines but its not quite like that with the ported saws I have . Manufacturing tolerances dictate that the design intent can not be optimised due to cost . If Husqvarna could make all saws like they are when Spud has finished with them for the same cost I'm sure they would . The saws spud did for me don't over rev . They get up to max revs quicker and hold torque in the cut stronger . They in effect run more efficiently ( also cooler ) so actually under strain less . This I feel makes them last longer . Just my take matey .
  14. Oi oi then troops . Happy Sunday one and all.
  15. ?
  16. Morning all . Hope you are well . Off to the Stoop today for Quins V Sarrys . Happy Saturday !
  17. Sorry , I don't understand . What is not sustainable ?
  18. What is the matter with the freeking media . It was revealed today , at RAF Northolt that a new british missile system is disguised as a simple shipping container . Oh well , thats out of the bag now ...
  19. Provided there is room I think you could fell that in a " oner " with a rope around it and maybe a bottle jack . Cut it up once down , good fire wood in a stove ( spits a bit ) . some times hard to split if the heart wood grain has grown helical . Stump grinder in to finish off . If the ground is predominately wet then Alder or Willow will suit . Obviously depends on how big you want the tree to get . Maybe a Birch ?
  20. Then don't coppice . Do 1st and 2nd thinnings when appropriate .
  21. That my friend is not going to tilt the world of its axis ! FFS That is doing nothing . At best a scratching post for the nearest cat . The whole thing is a piss take IMHO .
  22. I know this is a silly idea but is there not a local log merchant merchat who sell cut and split logs , ready to burn ?
  23. Morning Jase , morning all . 2c here with a wind making it seem like - something !
  24. OK . Each to his own . 🙂
  25. I have 2 mandolins . One flat belly and one bow belly . Must be really tricky cleaning the strings ...🙂
