  1. If it is this then it means the stove is leaking from somewhere . Maybe the door seal or were the flu joins the stove ?
  2. Or is there a small amount of smoke coming in from out side through the open window especially if there is not much wind out side ?
  3. Disagree . Wide glass stoves aren't necessarily bigger for a given out put . They just have a wider glass . Mine is a double glased window keeping more heat in the fire box promoting a cleaner burn so better for the atmosphere as you put it less cleaning than an older stove and puts out a " shed load " of heat . Nominally 5KW but actually 8KW .
  4. .025 - .022 = .003 . That's three thousands of an inch . The OP quite obviously got his decimal point in the wrong place . If you had a raker depth of a 1/4" you would have no raker at all !
  5. It kinda disappears up its own arse ?
  6. Rizla ! Green , Red and Blue . ?
  7. Agreed . The roots have to breath . In addition I would remove the blocks extend the un grassed area in a circle around the base of the trees .
  8. Wont the plastic membrane ( I presume to stop weeds ) also hinder the roots of the trees from getting water ?

    Jokes???

Congratulations to Frank and Christine Lampard on the birth of John Terry's daughter .
  10. Probably to get round copyright laws !
  11. You are supposed to periodically " dress " the bar . That is file the burrs off , or the lip as you put it , and turn the bar over to even out the ware . Eventually the drivers on the chain will bottom out in the groove and you will be able to rock them from side to side . The bar is then worn out .
  12. It wont make any difference at all . We talking three thousandths of an inch !

Yes of course . Cant see it from The South Downs National Park West Sussex ?

    Where am I ?

    You know I am not ! ?
  15. I think I need to clarify something here . The " pants " referred to are , in actual fact , a pair of Husqvarna Technical chainsaw strides that I bought but never wore so still as new . I wont need them .
  16. Cleared up here . Sunny all next week it seems .
  17. Monty Python . The three ( or was four ) Yorkshire men sketch .
  18. Used to lick road clean wid touge ...Get up half an hour before we went to bed , pay mill owner for permission to come to work and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wid a broken bottle ...If we were lucky !
  19. I would just like to say that Steve ( spud ) has fettled most of my saws over the years and always done a top banana job making them perform much better than standard and increasing their reliability . For example the first he did was a 2004 346XP and it is still a stonker . All I have ever done is replace a spark plug in all that time . I always give him feed back and give recommendations to others . Its not hard to do . He has after all contributed to my earning capacity .
  20. The guy who lives opposite me is a professional drummer . ( teaches and plays in the big shows ) . He gave me a complimentary yesterday to go and see him drumming in Priory Park ( Chichester ) in the band accompanying Johnny Mars . Key boards , guitar , bass , percussion ( the biggest ginger afro I have ever seen ) Drums ( my mate ) and Johnny on harp . Excellent out door evening !
  21. All the above may well be true but , ( I did not hear about it till 3 weeks before the event ) if it had gone ahead the result would still be the same . ...Unable to leave or enter our village for the day along with all the surrounding villages .
