  1. I used to do it just coz I could but I agree . Probably no economic .
  2. The two halves of the power head body ( the tank unit and the engine unit ) are connected to each other with AV springs . These spring help reduce the vibration transmitted to you , the user . They do however need to be limited in their movement obviously and so , there are various pegs that centre in a ring ( be it on the plastic or the casting ) to limit the amount of movement . Not saying it is one of those but it could be .
  3. Course . Be dangerous else !
  4. Wrong gauge for bar groove . Get the right gauge .

    Moto GP

Spectacular crash in the Moto GP race today in Austria . 2 bikes collided in a down hill section with a hair pin bend at the bottom . They became , effectively missiles . How they missed the bikes going round the hairpin was nothing short of miraculous .
  6. Did you try tightening the alternator belt ?
  7. You could tell them it still works fine with the writing up side down .
  8. I would rather be Hovis first if thats ok ..?
  9. Could this be caused by bad crank seals ? @spudulike ?
  10. As AJ says you need to take the center out . The black art of pruning fruit trees ! Shame . A happy tree in an unhappy place .
  11. That's metal conditioner Khriss , not mental conditioner matey .☺️
  12. They can have any bits of me that might be of use to anyone . Then burn the rest .
  13. The oil in metal cutting is soluble in water .
  14. Nicolas Lyndhurst lives around Brackelsham / Wittering way . People shout out " Cushdie Rodders ! " He hates it .
  15. I have completely dun away with all my chains and just use " metal conditioner " to cut with now a days .
  16. I use full Chisel for everything if I can .
  17. I found that fascinating , then after a while I wondered how I would feel about my ancestors being dug out of their graves and messed with . Difficult one .
  18. Some people use a cordless drill on the crank shaft nut to start them ...
  19. Not much ploughing done round here now . its all done with a " scratch it " drill direct into the stubble .
  20. First get rid of the bent bar . Tighten the bar nuts by hand / or scrench just so it grips the bar but not so tight as the bar cant be moved up . Hold saw by the back handle and " drop " the tip of the bar on a log or similar . Now the bar will be pushed up . . With your free hand check the tension with it in this position ( pull the chain up and just be able to stat to see the drivers ) . If this is ok , with the tip still on the log tighten the bar nuts till they grip the bar enough that nothing else will influence its position then tighte finally .
