  9. Would be very good marketing . I think you do them an injustice . They can engineer if required . Its just people expect cheap coz its Chinese .
  10. Hard frost first thing . Cool and bright . Currently 7 degrees at 14:00 .
  11. I know what you mean re the pale color for Field Maple but for me the sticks are too strait for Field Maple . I'm still going with Elm . πŸ™‚
  12. I think they are the saw of choice for the " re badging " merchants . Most of the garden center type saws start off as a Zomax . You get what you pay for . As has been said many times before if you aske the Chinese to make a saw for Β£50 so you can sell it for Β£100 they will oblige . If you ask them to make a saw that could reasonably be sold for Β£500 I'm sure they could do that also .
  13. The cut face looks more like Elm to me and the bark has that greenish tinge like Elm . Usually Oak that diameter pale ring just under the bark and the the rest of the face is an even tan color . But just my stab at it from a photo πŸ™‚
  14. The oil in the early stuff made it smell a bit like a chip shop but they did something/changed something and you don't get that now , at least I don't notice it .
  15. I think Ulmus .
  16. I would say the blueish stain is ferrus Nails or similar . The dark brown is natural heartwood ? I'm no expert though .
  17. All he needs to do is get Boris to represent him . Job done .😁
  18. I see Andrew ( ex prince ) has elected to be tried by jury . I think he will get ripped to shreads by a profesional cross examination . He looked pretty shit in an interview he aranged with one of his mates ! Stand a better chance if it was trial by combate me thinks . πŸ˜€
  19. Not Starting when hot is a symptom of possible low compression . When it gets hot the clearances open up to point where it wont support combustion . Pull the muffler off and have a look at the piston .
  20. Don't hold your breath re the grant of probate . Took over a year for my old Dads . The estate accounts have only been finalized yesterday . So best part of 18 months to sort .
  21. I just googled it .....πŸ™‚
