  1. I posted an observation about an FC woodland a few posts back but you seem to have ignored it . Maybe because , in this instance it did counter your argument ?
  2. Fair play . Keep us updated with it . 👍
  3. Not quite sure what you want here . Is it the name , in English , of the component parts of the saw ? ie " the power head " , the " bar " the " chain" the " tensioner " the " sprockets " etc or am I not understanding ? ?
  4. Are the needles in pairs ? If so could well be Scots .
  5. + you will need batteries and charger if you don't already have them .
  6. I walked through an FC woodland today . I stretches from the top road they call the bengies next to Goodwood estate down to Droke lane if anyone wants to google it . Got to be 100 acres . Predominately a beech plantation with some Larch , Spruce and Ash . Its had second thinnings in the past with racks cut . Recently a timber extradition of , at a guess , mabey12% of the standing ash . The trees left are on an average 3ft DBH . There is some ivy but very little . The vast majority of trees are clean . Over the whole plantation I would say 0.5% have ivy on them . Just an observation today .
  7. Needs a few more to overtake the abundance of ivy threads 🙂
  8. I don't recall posting any pics of work , mine ( unremarkable ) or anyone else's . .
  9. I had 2 working cockers . One called Holly and , yes , you guessed it the other was Ivy .
  10. Its called slabwood round here as well .
  11. My old Mum taught me that one in 1957 . 🙂
  12. Reminds me of the " no touch " kung Foo master getting floored by an MMA fighter . The " no touch " master , when he came to , said he lost because the MMA fighter was a non believer ! 😄
  13. Dan . Why didn't you sharpen the chains rather than bin them ?
  14. I think the missile that sunk it was built in someones Ukrainian kitchen . ( which was built in the 80s ) .
  15. Top banana state of the art Russian war ship sunk by Ukraine " home made " missile 😃
  16. Sycamore is THE least labor intensive fire wood going IMHO . As said seasons relatively quickly , spits lemon squeeze , burns like ash or beech pretty much . I would have it all day and twice on Sunday if that helps .
  17. I always found that you could make more dosh on 3-5 little jobs than one bigggun that took the same amount of time .
