  1. So . My boy sets off at 05:00 this morning to do a days double bubble cutting on the rail way . I get up just after him to take the dog . Phone call from Jack I have hit a deer going up the south side of Harting hill . Both air bags went off so probs a write off ? Been doing TM till about 08:00 . Midhurst Engineering did recovery . Happy Sunday !
  2. Yes . Some of the hedge rows here are a mixture of hawthorn and black thorn . The blackthorn flowered a couple of weeks ago . thats all dropped off with a good crop of slows showing and now the hawthorn has flowered .
  3. Morning all . Crystal clear here again . Happy Saturday .
  4. I ordered a 592 when it first showed . It never came and I am retired now !
  5. Its a bomber !
  6. Did you have any identifying markings on your kit or did they just take your word for what was yours ?
  7. So did you go to the seller and just take them back or did you have to buy them ? ( as plod was not interested )
  8. Do you lube the nose sprocket ? I stopped doing that a few years ago when I had one explode . I reasoned that when working in dusty conditions the dirt and grit stuck to the sprocket grease and acted like a grinding past . Since I stopped greasing them I have never had one let go .
  9. Oi oi then dudes . Looking after Zulu , a friends springer . So lots of dog walking . They both get on well . Clear sky again with that nagging NNEasterly . Have a good one .
  10. Yes. It was a joke FFS !
  11. Make another batch of 25:1 and add it to the first . Hay presto 50:1 😁
  12. Usually a 9 leaf arrangement on Manna ash .
  13. I have used the screw in the spark plug hole often with no problems . You have to pull the crank over slowly until you feel it make contact with the piston though .
  14. If it was not supported at the end ( and you are only making fire wood ) then strait down from the top would work with no need for an under cut .
  15. Yes I thought that . A direct competitor .
  16. Morning all . Cloudy today for a change . Split a large dead birch yesterday got to move it all to the log stores . My old bod aches a bit !
  17. Net zero aside it seems ridicules to not use the resources that are there , creating jobs instead buying it in from elsewhere .
  18. Makes no sense at all . Bonkers .
  19. Oi oi then . Rinse and repeat today .
  20. I was only pulling your pisser about the camera bud . Regards the bar getting pinched you need to look at the sticks and asses the tensions and compressions . If you can tell that its supported at either end and not under your proposed cutting area then you know that if you cut from the top its going to close on your bar .So , you make a small cut from the top and the main cut from the under side using the top of the bar .
  21. So not the older saws then .
  22. Why do you mix your alkylate fuel at 40:1 or 32:1 ? Its the saws that are old not the oil . I always mix my alkylate fuel ( Husky x power ) with Red line racing oil at 50:1 no matter how big or old the saw .
  23. Is that an extended extrapolation of the shed ?
