Yea you are right . If it cuts wood strait out of the box it does what you want . For how long is anther matter . Use it for a week in the woods and you may find out .....one way or the other .

  6. Hi Ty ./Can only recommend what we have . Husqvarna 545 and Husqvarna 355 . 45cc and 55cc I prefer the 45cc one as it is lighter and almost as much power as the 55cc one Both stonking machines and well capable of what you need . They are strong and rev hard .

  10. The thing is if he is that good , which he clearly is , he won't be a " keeper " for long coz he will want to go it himself and make his mark in the world . You would not blame him .
  11. There is a difference between the spec changing , and doing a job then doing it all over again because the spec has changed when you have finished .
  12. I don't think it matters really how much more is to come off . The fact of the matter is he has now got to do the job twice !
  13. Got to be honest here my initial thoughts were cheap Chinese PANTS saw 25:1 mix ratio gives it away as a Chinker and I would not buy one myself . However after the supermarket music on the vid it did sound and perform slightly better than I thought . The wood looked like a piece of cheese though . On balance spend a bit more for a home owner Husky or even as has been said a yellow McCullough ....
  14. Just to be clear is he proposing to extract timber from YOUR wood . In other words YOUR timber ??? Or is he just passing through on the ROW ?
  15. I did warn you Belts are no good . Mine has a duplex chain and sprockets .
  16. If you want a good one with a hardened and tempered cone , or replaceable tip cone then it won't be cheap . If you want a soft crap one it will be cheap .
  17. Check out all the panseys on Jons thread " whos still got the fire alight "
  18. Art the risk of being boring this is my cone splitter with a 13hp Honda and whilst it is fast on easy splitting stuff like syc etc it has not got enough grunt for a bit of grizzly elm . That has to go on my hydraulic which is slower but don't stop .
  19. Naa its toooooo late for me bud
