  1. Had it apart and was just the pipe. Not sure if it's operator not getting it hot enough or bad luck. Fuel mix is accurate and I've been using it for nearly 4 months 6 hours a day except yesterday when some one else used it.....
  2. I think I know the answer here.....
  3. I'm after my first quad, I don't really want to spend more than 2k it's for woodland work but more moving fence materials, trees tubes and stakes. Would like it to tow my ifor p8e trail or too. Any suggestion, places to look? Cheers.
  4. Thanks! I'll have it to bits tomorrow! Fingers crossed.
  5. It really was rubbish! Whilst I have your attention garden kit, my fs460 began doing odd things today. It would start and run but not rev. I've checked everything I can think of. I'm not upto taking apart engines though. Any ideas? Filters are clean, plug is good.
  6. I was using stihl hp, but the plug gunked up. The choke leaver was exposed and I thing whilst my guy was using it, it got caught on branches/briar so maybe flooded. The air filter was foam. It was a really crap machine on hire. Took it back and will be using an fs410 next week. Think the brand was gardecare. Looked a bit chinesey. Didn't even bother putting any more fuel in, in the end.
  7. Hire co told me its 50-1 and it's a bloody 25-1 what's the best way to flush it through?? Cheers.
  8. Yes John, but there's no Hgv access or secure stacking area. And it's in Barnsley........ Essentially what you cut you've got to take that day. Then there's the phone line..... I guess I was making a point, even in a wood there are times you'll need to make a loss to have it managed.
  9. I've a wood needs thinning, if you're qualified for the kit you're using and can economically get it out the timber is yours! All I ask is for every 10t you put one in my yard. There's your access. No roads or rides, just desire lines. Edit, and insured.
  10. I think I just made a bit of a mess in my pants! It's very sexy. What's the price tag on something like that?
  11. So cutting for a day then nap sacking at the end of the day is too late. As said above a 3-5l pressurised bottle sprayer will be ideal!
  12. Maybe, but they're still using it in the east midlands.
  13. Yup, all of mine have died like that though the chain has always been fine. Age or a pinch can cause it, as can a tap/drop on the tip. Just have to suck it up and replace it. Unless you can take it back and convince the shop it's nothing you did that caused it.
  14. Also don't forget different blades need different guards. Different machines will also only be able to take certain sizes of blade. The owners handbook will have this info as will the husky website.

Make friends with some one with a 660 or 395. It'll make your life a lot easier.
  16. Free! Apart from that no fussed in the slightest.
  17. But none of them want to pay for harvesting. Always trying to get hand cutters to compete with mechanical outfits on price.
  18. Eah? I said it did then recommended a supplier who'll supply a winch with a cert.... I don't understand?
  19. sadly yes. But it's not too bad. Check our these guys. http://www.aplifting.com/#/index.cfm/news/ap-lifting-gives-a-fresh-face-to-www/
  20. something tells me I'm too soft!
  21. Oh I agree, that wasn't meant as a positive. As a franchise you get the equipment provided to you at a pre determined price, and it's only from the providers they have agreements with. I'm not saying this is the case but an example would be. You prefer timberwolf but have to use greenmech. Stihl/husqvarna etc You can't buy used equipment even if it provides better value. Also it's leased so my understanding (though I hope to be corrected) is that in this instance once the rental period is over you give it back. As apposed to hire purchase/finance lease.... You are then obliged to provide your services to the "umbrella company" first with no real guarantee of income. If you price and agree to do a big dismantle job for another client, book the date in etc but the "umbrella company" then requests you're needed that week, off you trot....... So, I fully agree with you Yorkshireman.
  22. I've only ever got it in liquid form. Dorset if you were not do far I could give you some.
