  5. stay away - £600 towards something that will last will be money better spent. you get what you pay for I know its tempting to buy cheap- and sometimes it does see you through a tight spot, but more often than not, its a waste of money. hope you get sorted. Matt
  6. I have ocd and cant help but clean everything, even tools that really don't need to be kept clean, but cleaning chains has got to be the next level, hopefully I don't get there anytime soon.

  11. There is no problem in doing it as long as it is done again on cyclical basis. I find the problems occur when you top a conifer hedge and then leave it for years- the regrowth gets large and it starts breaking out.

I have two huskys that need major open engine surgery, one needs a new crank shaft because the big end bearing has disintegrated. never really worked on them before and I already feel like im gonna struggle getting the cases apart. hope santa brings the new hammer that I wanted

  15. If you would have said someone has given me a V12 chainsaw, you would have had a lot more response!
  16. What is the best way of putting the engine back in the housing. Do you seal the crank pan on the cylinder first with the seals in place and try to fit as a complete unit or just build it in to the housing bit by bit? looks like it will be a struggle to get the seals in afterwards as the oil pump is in the way- or should I remove this? any advice? thanks

  21. Good choice - price doesn't seem far out- any warranty?- personally I would steer clear of hire machines, they aren't loved enough. I love my tools
