  1. I am right, when you gently turn the flywheel back and forth you can feel the play and hear the gap tick tick tick
  2. Macaroni actually Yes it's beef steak fungus I thought it might get a few scratching heads, however it does remind you of a book by Shigo that I sure we all have.
  3. Poplar? Those sharp points in the grain remind me of the epic that grows on black pop.
  4. Thanks spud, it's defo not a loose screw I have seen that a few times also, there is play when you pull/ push the con rod, never thought of crank bearings
  5. Sycamore?
  6. The reason the baffle plate is burning through is because you are allowing ash to build up on top. This builds more heat in the metal and they burn through, every now and again make sure ash and debris are not building up on the top of the plate. The same goes for the grates the fire sits on in multi burners, if you never empty the ash pan and leave the ash to build up to the fire, the grate will burn out in no time. Regards mm
  7. I have been given a couple of bg85's that do run but have gone noisey and vibrate excessively, i think this is due to wearing of the big end bearing through poor quality 2 stroke oil being used, there is definitely excessive movement there. This must be a common thing to come across in some of your workshops? A new crank is around £60+ I can't think of any cheaper way to repair? Can any of you? And Do you think I'm right with my diagnosis? I've seen a few like this. It's a shame the crank isn't the same as the bg86 as a mate has a seized one.
  8. Maybe your doing too much wandering around?
  9. I'm outta my league here. Ill leave to you guys.
  10. Yeah actually that's what I was thinking.

  15. Who has got or has used a picus 3? or infact any device that utilises computerised tomography. I am looking to find out some information for one of my college assignments, any help would be appreciated. Regards Matt
  16. When you grinding in urban areas, I would think it would be common sense to scan around stumps first or at least have the service plans.
  17. Actually I am lying, I know a couple that do, the others don't.
  18. I don't know many who don't.
  19. Oh Don't be like that! Have you done it the old way and feel aggrieved because you think the new way is easier?
  20. You could use it as a butt plug?
  21. AAAHHHH but that's not what you said. You said hard work isn't justification to passing the level 6. it is. if you don't work hard you don't get it.
