  5. As long as the saw starts hot the kit is not needed you will know if it needs it, mine nearly got put under the tractor wheel for not starting. The carb will alter it's setting using a flywheel sensor to measure rpm a temp sensor and also a throttle position sensor. When plug into a computer it tells you loads of info like whom purchased the saw (if entered at time of purchase) pnc no, serial number, carb number, coil info, software version, hours used with a breakdown of what rpm range, number of starts there's loads more as well Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. There is a hot start kit for these saws which includes a new tank breather done loads under warranty and regaping the coil is part of this . There is also constant software updates for the carbs on these saws as well as the 560xp. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk mobile app

  9. The main crank of the engine is directly connected to the rotor and the plastic bearing is more of a bush than a bearing. It's on the opposite side to the engine consealed by a small metal plate with 3 or 4 small bolts can put a parts picture up when I'm in work 2moz to show you.   15. In-between the two roller halfs are one way roller bearing like what you fine on a bike back wheel. Take the roll pin out of the sproket chain drive side take the bolts and screws from the bearing chases and remove the bearings. The roller shaft with the roller should come out pull off the roller parts and you will see the bits I'm on about. Give these a good soak in lube. Remove with a hammer and punch and replace check the inside o the rollers for wear. When it all goes back together it may need shimming. Top tip weld it up.
  16. check the rollers and motors for key wear and motor mounting bolts as these become loose and strip threads check wear the hopper joins onto the roller box as the steel cracks have welded 2 up so far this year.

  19. Try the fuel pump as they should be a electro magnetic shuttle pump and I've had to change these before. Could be a loose wire?

  22. have used a efco one for a bit loop handle and kills my arm. the shafts are weaker as they are flexible. top tip as i have bust one shaft is to back off the trottle to disengae the clutch when using the blade in thick stuff if that makes sense

  24. just remember the longer your pipes the bigger the tank has to be.
