  1. What a very strange way of thinking,
  2. Considering there's a ban coming if I sat no... Of course it does ? For sure mate, but on that tree even an average climber like myself could rig faster than 2 or 3 good lads could clear it up the garden and past the house. You'd want your a-team on the ground for sure!
  3. Nice, isn't it? Actual tree workers discussing tree work!
  4. Good point well made Don, but in this case I don't think it's a case of hope quick you can get the tree down. The determining factor I'd how quick your guys can clear the brash and process the timber and clear the sawdust. If I got subbed in to get that tree down in a day then no bother, but there would still be a lot of time in the stem and clear up.
  5. Yeah tbf some trees are worth more than 2k. If you can't get machinery in and you've got to handball all that heavy out that's gonna take you into a third day easy. There'll be a transit list of sawdust!
  6. You'd be welcome to it for that. If I had 2 groundies I'd be spending most of my time waiting up the tree. I wouldn't very much like to be keeping cord for logs too. If it chips it goes through. That's some seriously thick timber there. Even if it's staying it'll still have to be manageable. Anyone putting less than 2 grand on that is running themselves into the ground. Have at it.
  7. He'd need far bigger beads for starters.
  8. A climber needs a personal saw, more so with the mini toppers. The bar and chain get bollocksed straight away when they get shared. Then they become pointless saws.
  9. It's a false bottom he's put into his Stein cube. Two lines one cube. The petzl ones come with it anyway but break in minutes
  10. I'd be careful posting advice and guidance with nothing to back it up but a phone call. The only stipulation that I've seen when reading the government criteria is that your business must've been adversely affected. There's no stipulation of what degree you have been affected.
  11. Whatever. We can agree that the other bloke is a shithead though.
  12. I believe that was "kid rock". Annoying berk he was. Wasn't "Werewolves of London" just sampling "Sweet Home Alabama" though?! Edit: John beat me to it
  13. I just find it refreshing for a scouser to take your money and give you something in return!
  14. You don't get to stipulate that im afraid. It's my right to post shit where I want!
  15. Decent. Im finding my Andrews a bit shit on spikes. Would you say they last a reasonable time?
  16. Im due a new pair of walking boots, might give these a try. What are they like for spiking in?
  17. That was the easier one! The bigger bastard is yet to do!
  18. Wobbly pop rig this morning VID-20200506-WA0008.mp4
  19. I'd just like to say a massive thank you to Mark and Co. I needed to order a couple of parts for my 2511 (not a bar stud...?) one of which was out of stock. Mark took one off a new saw and messaged to let me know it was back in stock on the website. It was delivered the following day. That's impressive service at any time, let alone with the current postage situation. Couldn't even complain about the postage price ?
  20. Like I said mate im usually with a solid crew aged we all muck in. It's not often im sent out with a bunch of retards these days as I tend not to work for places like that.
  21. You've over tightened that. That's how bar studs strip. Plenty of manufacturers mount bar studs into plastic
