  1. They're no better 🤣
  2. Yeah he was funny in a really menacing way.
  3. Same series as yours Steve but with a bit of fanny.
  4. One of the Never Back Down films
  5. Got the right idea there. Wouldn't get it into 75% of the gardens I work in though!
  6. Or coming down and helping shift logs.
  7. Decent rope, shame you'll probably die using it
  8. I'd find a couple of local firms and see if you can do a few days graft on the ground before you part with your hard earned. Even with all your tickets you'll be not much use to anyone as a climber initially so will mainly be doing ground work. Big shift in money from IT to working as a groundy, you'll want to know if its definitely for you. Most firms won't care about tickets if you're dragging brash and feeding a chipper to start off with. Just buy yourself a lid and some sensible boots.
  9. Current zz was bought in Jan and its slipping quite badly now
  10. I've got Atrax but it's burning through my zigzag in record time. Thought it would be too skinny for the bdb. Xstatic is decent with it
  11. How are you finding the BDB on Atrax mate?
  12. That stays on my harness whatever I'm doing. Is a spare ddrt system for the tail of your line, a redirect for either srt or ddrt, an srt canopy anchor, progress capture system for traversing with a hook or a light rigging system. Pretty versatile setup.
  13. One tape sling/crab and a pinto/hitch cord/crab is all I usually take up, apart from whatever I'm using for my canopy tie
  14. 🤣 whatever works for you mate, having two seperate lanyards would make my life hell for most jobs! I don't have a dedicated conny kit in fairness! I was trying to work out what was going on with that spare bridge too.
  15. This harness gives me anxiety
  16. Like my Johnson
  17. I'd be more concerned with what they're really up to.
  18. Because the white teeth and botox lines point to a gentleman of your advanced years mate
  19. Probably, but shit with a lifetime warranty
  20. Ah gotcha, hadn't seen that
  21. Mini prussik prevents the rest of the tail getting pulled out of the bag of the lanyard gets snagged. I'd be flaking It back in a lot more without it.
  22. Silver bull one from Honeys, got an elasticated vag-type opening.
  23. Definitely send to be more of a posers tool to put on Instagram. I think if I saw someone genuinely rocking one I'd have to write them off a a climber. Happy to eat my words though
  24. Not a massive concern. The only other option would be to prune the limb back until the stem, leaving a huge pruning wound, leading far worse decay potential. Personally I'd reduce the defective limb by 3-4 metres and install bracing.
  25. Yeah, basically. Cedars typically rely on all of their limbs and the dead branches to essentially knit together and bear the elements like that. If you remove dead or dysfunctional branches you will very often end up with more storm damage in the near future because branches that were previously supported are now vulnerable because the other supporting dead or dysfunctional limbs have been removed
