  1. Does anyone know a good taper for cougar blue? Did one the other day with a 4 4 6 4 and struggled (it was litely used so that may of been something to do with it)
  2. Shouldn't the tether be connected to the top eye so the ZZ is aligned properly. It looks like it's under a lot of strain in that position
  3. To late mate he posted a picture on Instagram before he spoke to petzl. I know the climber and as far as I know he's returned it to his supplier to be sent back to petzl and is waiting for a reply.
  4. Go for the rig. I've had both versions of the pulley saver and liked the old one better, even with the crap retrieval clip ( although I did cut it off and replace it with a ART trapeze)
  5. I know the climber who owns the cracked zig zag and he is super anal about his kit and checks it regularly. The ZZ was also a 2nd gen so pretty new
  6. Yeah that's the one cheers mate
  7. Thought I'd bring this to everyones attention incase you haven't seen it https://www.facebook.com/groups/423240677729728/permalink/630325843687876/
  8. Nice one mate I've sent Richard an email so hopefully will be able to get some to oz
  9. Rad. Yeah me an jack were talking about maybe splitting the postage to get some. Not used it yet as I got some dirty conifers to do last Friday and I didn't want it's maiden climb to be dirty coni haha
  10. Nice! how much was that drum kit and do you know if Richard will post to oz?
  11. Yeah can't wait. Got mine from tree gear for 329 aud so about 160-180 gbp
  12. Should be getting my uni in the next couple of days. Can't wait
  13. Just got myself a black diamond should of done it years ago but the mountain hard ware bag in Marc's pic is very good as well and only about £50 from Cotswolds. Just depends if you want a vertical haul bag or just a normal grab bag
  14. King Alfred's cake is saprophytic so how come it turned into a fell? Was the tree dead?
  15. Nice work Adam was it new or used? Not sure if it'll work with my airline because of the core
  16. An interesting read for sure. I used a dynamic lanyard for a bit mainly because I had to use it at the German comp if I wanted to use the cinch and I carried on using it after and quite liked having the bit of stretch it had when blocking down. But after getting a sidewinder which comes installed with beeline I just used that which I like aswell. I think the kiwis have the right attitude though that it's not being loaded the same when used as a lanyard adjuster as it is when used as a belay device
  17. The petzl vertex can be used with both the visor and mesh at the same time
  18. Cheers guys. Yeah drew I will definitely be coming over to nz for a trip.
  19. Arbor pride mate, do you know of them
  20. Cheers bro hope the hand heals up fast
  21. Cheers buddy that would be great if you can give me those contacts. Pm me if you want. Cheers mate
  22. So in just over a week I'm heading to Sydney to work. I'm going to be working for a company in the north Sydney area and just wondered if any one on here was in that area and if they'd be keen to meet up for a climb and a few beers :thumbs up:
  23. 3 years on the cinch is bloody good going in my book. I use the cinch and if mine lasts 3 years I'd definitely replace it with another one
  24. Try doing an upside down gob cut which gives you time to flip the butt over as it falls making it 'jump' over the edge and land with the butt facing the right way for dragging
