Not used the positioner with the sidewinder but I've seen Tonys in action and it looks good. I also think the zillion would be good, if it didn't have the risk of cracking I'd probably buy one

Sam contact Tony Darbyshire, he ships them over from treestuff without a cinch or positioner. He uses his with a positioner to so he can tell you about it.

It does haunt you haha. I left my sidewinder at home and missed it as soon as I did my first day at work

Get some Riemann p20 sun block at least factor 30. Put it on first thing in the morning and it'll last all day it's pretty horrible stuff but it beats putting on cream every few hours. And don't wear it with white t-shirts because it stains them yellow lol. Also a pair of good wrap around sunnys are essential. Might see you out here when you get round to Sydney.

I wouldn't be with out mine. At first I was a bit sceptical about it but once I started using it I never looked back. When I came out to Aus I couldn't fit it in my luggage so left it at home, It didn't take long before I got the misses to ship it out here though

Legally you can prune anything in 'your airspace' basically anything over your boundary line. But the branches are the property of the tree owner so technically should be returned unless both party's agree otherwise. My advise would be to contact a reputable arborist and have a meeting with them and your neighbours to discuss what can be done with the tree and come to some sort of middle ground

Love my spiderjack with a pulley saver. I don't find it has any problems in the wet and I love the self tend rope choice is key though I use 11mm velocity with mine. I had a quick go on the ZZ1 and agree with what was said earlier. It's good but doesn't self tend as well as the SJ

I thought about putting something like a dmm buddy above my hand ascender but wasn't sure if it would need to have some distance between the two for it to work properly

Just makes it a bit more comfortable to take a rest and leaves your bridge clutter free to just wack your mainline on

I thought kernmaster was designed to work with ascenders and platinum should be a good rope because the core is woven into the cover.

This is my setup mark. Used to use it all the time to go up on then change over to a separate climbing line. Perfectly safe in my opinion just as long as you use it with the correct ropes such as kernmaster or platinum. But since I recently got a unicender I've just been using that mainly, it's a lot smoother and you can descend if need be
