  1. I wonder if the asda pay at the pump has banned them. I'm in perth too. I might just have to take the R1 instead and syphon it later.
  2. Thanks very much Yve, I just placed my order and the discount code worked perfectly.
  3. I get this from my girlfriend too and I only drink at the weekends. I look forward to a few beers because I can wind down and chill out. She's got me on a "no beer for two weeks" thing now. Those women in your life may be nagging but it shows they care about you too.
  4. This could be a problem on my side but when I try to buy one on your website and apply the code ATLJ10 it takes me to: http://www.clarkforest.com/errors/general.htm I'm running Chrome.
  5. I spotted this in the new catalogue and was going to come here to ask you guys what you thought of it. You've convinced me, I'll probably buy one tomorrow.
  6. I think this thread illustrates how lucky we all are to have good women in our lives. To those single or divorced lads, I hope it gets better for you.
  7. It's all sitting on stone chips though, it'll never be damp for long. That's my thinking anyway, or will it still go bad?
  8. Ah well, it impressed me anyway.
  9. Mine is Chinese but I can't stand Chinese food....
  10. The new vw deisels have this really stupid particulate filter system that can cause problems. If you don't drive it a certain way it'll go into limp mode and you have to follow a certain procedure to turn it off. Not all of them though, probably just the eco/blue motion type ones. I have a 110 skoda Octavia and that's quick so the 170 will be a cracker
  11. My girlfriend and I have only just moved into our first house and she wanted a new kitchen right away. She loves her kitchen so much I'm not allowed near it! She works for the council and gets home before me and my dinner is usually ready for me. I made sure we got a dishwasher along with the new kitchen
  12. Took a walk along the water by my house today and found this It must have floated down here when the water was high. I still have to cut up about another 20ft of it.
  13. I took one of them to a bbq last night and everyone doubted I would get it lit. I proved them wrong!
  14. I plan on doing this too, can anyone recommend a good stove brand? We have a really nice Victorian fireplace at the moment but it just sends all the heat up the lum!
  15. Here's my trailer full of chopped up pallets and log store.
  16. I sharpened the chain on my 346 for the first time tonight using a husky roller guide, what a great little tool! I've sharpened chains before on my dad's saws by hand/eye but this was way easier. I should have sharpened it before now because it made a huge difference
  17. I made one of these tonight out of oak. We're having a barbecue on Monday so I have it in the cupboard above the boiler to dry out quicker but it was already dead anyway. It was a bit of a bugger to cut the first slice but the next one was easy. Any tips on how to get it lit? Apart from petrol!
  18. It's my girlfriends birthday so we came down from Perth to London on the train for six hours. I've had two pints and we're now back in the travel lodge, girlfriend sound asleep. That girl has no stamina!
  19. The branch initially landed in a field but then the farmer lifted it over his hedge and dumped it next to the cycle path. It's not from someone's forest. If it was felled and left there I wouldn't have touched it. Thanks for all the replies.
  20. Yup, I suppose they could get me on that one. Never heard of that before but google says yes. I actually asked one of my policeman customers what he thought and he said "I wouldn't bother you anyway, that's more of a public service."
  21. A few weeks ago I cut up an old oak bough that was laying by a cycle path miles out of town but I was wondering, is that legal? The council seemed happy to leave it there and nobody else was removing it. Is it ok to collect fallen trees for firewood on public property? A couple of cyclists stopped for a chat and said it was about time someone removed it. I live in a very rural part of Perthshire and there's loads of fallen/abandoned stuff laying around. Thanks.
  22. Thanks guys, it's a new saw, I did check the bar but I couldn't see anything that would tell me the pitch. I'll get the .325 roller guide and the 3/16" files you suggested. My Dad probably has all of this but I'd rather have my own kit.
  23. I've had my 346xp for a few weeks now and getting along fine with it but I think I've dulled the chain a little and it could do with a sharpen. I'd like to buy one of the husky roller guides but as I threw the box away I don't know what pitch my chain is. Also, do you have any recommendations on which file/files I should get? Thanks.
