  1. Lots of good information guys thanks. I've a winch on the mill and that works great, much smoother surface cuts. The 066 is great really, but I know at some point I'll have to get a 880 or equivalent as I'm running the 066 to the max.
  2. Thanks Rob, I'll put that plan on hold then for now and focus on a bigger saw instead 👍
  3. Very nice setup Stephen! Certainly couldn't lift that on my own lol. Interesting to hear your knowledge through experience, I'm not very technically minded but keeping it simple I guess I could limit the throttle on the other end ??
  4. That must have been a real head scratcher! Solved very nicely👍
  5. I'm currently milling with an 066 with either 36" standard 3/8 or 42" lo pro. I've been hankering for an 880 but I'm wondering about getting another 660 to run both powerheads as an alternative. My main question as I usually work alone is, is it possible to mill with two powerheads with just one operator? Has anyone rigged up a trigger cable that would rev both saws simultaneously?
  6. Hi Woody, I've done a few pet memorial pieces. These ones are still alive but you get the idea. Side profile carved in relief as a wall hanger, just need a good quality photo in this position. PM me if you want to discuss things further mate 👍
  7. That's a quacker(cracker) Ian! Lovely job mate 👍
  8. Showing your age Ian, loved stig of the dump 😊
  9. Very informative mate, liked the tip about sighting for twist in the ladder 👍
  10. Birthday present for a big fan of the stig
  11. Thanks mate, the horse and cart is my favourite too 😊 We were down there yesterday as well, crowds of people taking selfies with Jimmy Lowe 😁
  12. Nice Russell! Got a great face. Have you got a carving bar yet?

Does that include the 3410? Hope so, nice and easy 😁

No problem Andrew, out of interest are the sprockets over or under the clutch on these saws? If over then not too much faffing to swap between 3/8 and 1/4 bars/chain.

Ian, if you're going down the 3/8 lopro route you are limited to a quarter tip bar. If you want a finer tip for detail you'd be better off with a dime tip bar but yes you would need to run 1/4 carving chain and would have to change sprockets.
  16. Very informative guys 😉 can't see the avatars on the app.
  17. They're pretty cool Rick 👍
  18. Great, cheers mate. Whereabouts are you?
  19. Hi gand, just knackered parts mate. I'm experimenting with saw parts in my sculptures, sawpunk rather than steampunk 😁
  20. Bit of an odd request but I'm looking for scrap saw parts, things like knackered sprockets, pistons and the like. I don't know if you usually weigh this stuff in at the scrappy but if not I'd like to repurpose it. Cheers, Si
  21. Top quality mate! You've a nice setup there too 👍
