  1. Welcome and I agree. Find a local company you could do a couple of days with, also find out when your local college has open days as you maybe able to get up in a tree. If you don't wanna do the year course etc at college try TKF. Tom is in south yorks and runs courses all the time, there a gd bunch of lads up there

  9. Hi just an iPhone and have noticed an app called arborist app, it compiles all info into a tree report you can email to the client etc. just wondered if anyone has used this. Cheers
  10. End of the day it's for the 'what if something did happen', I've always worn mine and all you have to do is factor it into your job quote so that after a year urll have either a nice new pair if worn or some extra cash for new shiny things
  11. if its just the course and the £80 fine id just go with it, i did 62mph in a 50 (in an area i didnt know then) my first ever fine etc and was fined and 3points, this time next year theyll be wiped clean once again
  12. i use the petzl grillion with a new england steel core flip line. its a little stiffer to draw in but has done me well for 2 yrs. think a 3m new england s/cflipline is about £40, unscrew the grillion and fit it in bud. Also at work we use something like the stein rope grab and its to quick in the release for myself anyways

  20. what are people views on this new husky saw compared to the stihl ms201t? impartial views please as im wondering which 1 to get, as ive heard bad and good things with both and use the 201 alot. thanks lads

    i was gunna pop in and ask any and every question about the saw and if i should have ppe. then ask are they selling ppe etc etc. its only across the road im working on thursdays. lol be intresting to see what they have to say
