  1. Thank you, really appreciate you doing this. I’ve emailed a few but heard nothing back yet, could be because it English or could be my google translated French. I’ll see how my step dad gets on this week and report back.
  2. Thanks for the help. I’ll see if my step dad can pick one up when he goes to France next week. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to Look at other options. Cheers all
  3. I have emailed a few dealers but not heard anything back from them. Turns out my step dad is going to France next week to pick up a load of wine so I’m hoping he can get to a dealer and pick up afterwards. Failing that I’ll probably look at heading over myself.
  4. While looking at saws the other day I noticed they are still selling 346xp’s new in France. Is there anyone on here who could either point me in the direction of a dealer who would be willing to ship to the uk or someone who would be happy to pick up a saw for me and send it onto me? cheers all
  5. I’ve had mine for 2 years now. With the exception of a yearly service and sharpening the blade haven’t had to touch it. Really is a very good roller mower, cuts better in the dry or the wet than a hayter, will fill the box to the brim, even the customers say how much nicer the lawn comes up using the weibang. Only downside is the weight, if you can live with that then it’s perfect
  6. I was in a similar a situation last year. Wasn’t really planning on selling my CS100 but got such a good offer for it I’d have been stupid not to sell it. After looking at many machines I ended up buying a new 150p. Haven’t regretted it, really good machine and copes with everything I’ve throw at it.
  7. You could try taking it to the Camon dealers in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. I think they’ve still got some people there who use to work on the chippers when they imported them.
  8. Does anyone have any expersience with these, more specifically the 2 series? Been looking at a avant loader to help with work and came across these. Didn’t know how they compare to the other loaders avaliable.
  9. I’ve got the Greenmech 150p, it’s got the same Petrol engine. Can’t complain about the engine, chip all day and it will use roughly 9 litres. I’ve not got any experience with forst stuff but I regularly put 5”-6” bits through and it copes fine. Alternatively maybe look at the Timberwolf 230.
  10. I don’t think you’d find anyone to do it for £150, maybe for that you could get someone to put a pull line in, gob, and pull it over with a tractor. For it to be rigged down by at least one climber and a grounds man £400-450;doesn’t seem bad to me.

    Cs39?

I did mine a couple of months ago. You choose a tree, climb up and get a high anchor, the drop back down to one of the lower limbs, walk out to the end, and providing you’ve picked a pretty good tree you can do all 10 cuts on one branch. They’re no expecting you to be the best climber in the world just fairly accurate with your cuts and safe in what your doing.
  12. I need to get the back of my transit altered, tool box, new sides, etc..... are there any companies in or around mid sussex that anyone can recommend? cheers all
  13. I’ve had greenmechs because they are my nearest dealer by quite a way and when I use to work for a company all we had were greenmechs and they use to take a beating. I suppose it’s like the stihl husky argument. A friend has just got a new Timberwolf 230 and I think with the same sort of deposit it’s just over £300 a month. Best thing to do, speak to your local dealer and see what they can offer.
  14. Just to throw my 2p in. I started out with an L200 and a trailer. Worked but getting a pickup and trailer into a house wasn’t always easy. So I bought a transit tipper, made things a lot easier and could carry more than my trailer (volume not weight). The next step for me was buying a greenmech cs100. It’s transforms your working going from no chipper to suddenly being able to chip all your waste. Went from two trips a day down to one load. This worked for a little while but became a pain to attach the trailer to the truck, get the chipper out of the shed and onto the trailer. Wasn’t the smoothest operation. Towards the end of 2017 I opted to sell the cs100 and buy a road tow chipper. This was to speed up the loading process and speed up clearing the waste. Looked for a quite a while at second hand machines. I know not everyone is dishonest but I couldn’t help thinking I was going to end up with someone else’s problems so I elected to buy new. Used the money I had saved as a deposit and pay the rest monthly. I like you wanted to keep costs down but at the moment it’s more than covering its costs. Just so you’ve got a rough idea of figures, cs100, put down £1800 and then was £65 per month over 4 years ( I think) arb150p, put down £5k and the £240 a month for 4 years
  15. Ive now got a few echo tools and the stihl combi spouts don't fit the echo tanks. Ive read the Husqvarna ones will fit the echo tanks, does anyone know if this is the case or is there a better option? Cheers All
  16. I’ve currently got an ms150 and want to get a larger top handle for when it’s required. Would people either get a 200t that’s been checked over and deemed good or an echo 360tes which is new with a warranty. A decent 200t is commanding £300+ and the echo is £405 new. I’ve already got quite a few echo tools and can’t complain about them. Just don’t know which would be the better buy for a larger top handle. Cheers all
  17. Will do. I’m doing my cs39 next week and a couple of days of Fencing but will get some video clips when it’s out the week after.
  18. No complaints from me with the 150p. I wanted a bigger machine as the cs100 was a pain for to to get loaded so a lot of the time I didn't bother taking a chipper, or subbed in a friend with his road tow. Again I bought without getting a demo or even looking at one. For the few extra ££££ I thought I might as well get the larger machine the 150p. Very happy and got through everything I put through it. Highly recommended. If I could rewind the clock I probably would have bought the bigger machine or maybe the 130 from the start. But the it all comes down to cash flow, I put £5k down then £240 a month for 4 years. If you can afford it and your work dictates it get a larger machine. If you only do lots of little jobs where the majority of stuff is sub 3" then the cs100 will do you fine.
  19. The cs100 was a brilliant little machine. I brought it after reading all the good reviews and never having tried on. Copied really well with almost anything we through at it, all the people I subbed to with it were amazed as well. We did some massive beech trees with it and all the waste went through the chipper no problem. Any thing 3-4" the customer wanted for logs. I sold it because putting dead wood or bigger bits through use to shake you to pieces, you being the stress control. Getting it out of the shed, and loading it onto the trailer took quite a while and wasn't a one man job for me. And then just volume of stuff to be chipped. If your just starting out the a cs100 is an excellent machine, get one on demo and see if it's what you need.
  20. Just flicking through this post. I went through this at the beginning of the yard. My faithful old hayter s**t it’s self end of last year so needed a replacement. After looking at all the options near to me I ended up buying a Weibang 56 pro, and it’s been a fantastic mower. I’ve even had other contactors come and have a look/go with it as they’ve been so impredded with the finish. Only downside to the mower is it’s weight, around 70 kg.
  21. It’s between 4-5 hours of chipping time so probably not far off yours.
  22. I’ve just got the 150P. Couldn’t be happier with it. I started with a cs100 as my first chipper but wanted something bigger. After looking at lots of second hand hand decided to buy new so I wasn’t buying someone else’s problems. My local dealer was offering the 150p for £1000 + vat more than the 130. Has it out on its first proper outing last week chipping conifer and was really impressed. With two of us feeding it we struggled to keep up, not a massive drag. Filled my transit 3 times and the Landy tipper once on 18l of fuel.
  23. Niwaki make the best tripod ladders, build quality is very good. Unfortunately they only have the single leg adjustment so out of the list above it’s the three leg adjustable to me.

    Echo 281WES

I've got a 550xp, ms361, and an ms461 so plenty of other options for cutting larger things. Just want something for light pruning and something for by the chipper.

    Echo 281WES

Does anyone have any views good or bad on the echo 281WES? I'm after a really lite little ground saw for pruning and a bit of snedding. And at £260 they're cheap as well.
