  1. Oh dear Hama your slipping:001_tt2: twice in one thread as well
  2. Wow your all like a bunch of ladies nattering about the colour of a dress! Is it comfy? Does it work? thats all you need, colour is of no importance unless you are a girl or a fashion victim.
  3. Napalm?
  4. That was "natural selection" at its best:001_rolleyes:
  5. seems a shame to cut it right back looking at it there, could you not just take in all the longer branches to where the crown gets tight. that way would be easier to pull them off the top and you would still have the tree.
  6. Best option i have heard so far
  7. I thinned and reduced a hawthorn that sounds about exactly the same as yours about 3 weeks ago. You will swear a lot and be pulling the tips of thorns out your skin for a few days afterwards. Its up to you how you want to go ahead with it and if you decide to cut it to a stump then that will sprout from just about everywhere. I am not a great fan of hawthorn to work on but they make good looking small trees. If you cut it to a stump it wont look as good anymore but you could do some creative topiary on it to cover up the ugliness of the stump.
  8. I can remember that still:thumbup: I was working away for a few days and there was no internet and i dont have a smartphone
  9. to me theres lots of difference depending on why and where but lets not go down that road again lets just agree to disagree Having said that i have now had the time to read a lot more of your posts and from what i can gather your pretty much of the same mind as me, i guess you just didnt understand what i was against, which was probably due to my bad explanations
  10. Excellent pgk very well written maybe next time you go there you should invest in a map
  11. Did someone mention POLLARDING??? fetch my shotgun dear! Great thread and great pics, dont worry i am all for the natural pollard just not the man made unnecessary topping
  12. Yea thats true, i was forgetting where i was for a moment there I am no longer a west coast wino but now a nice polite east coast softy! I should go back home every now and again and stand outside for a few hours with my top off just to harden myself up again
  13. held on by a midges baw hair as we say up this neck of the woods!
  14. dorty barsteward! lets hope its the one closest to the tree and it gets left to die, rot and fall on his dumb ass head:thumbdown:
  15. Count me out cos i smoke Excellent job description though stevie Give me a shout if you need a hand while searching though, and i will only smoke when talking about football and swearing in the customers porch while sheltering from the rain and midges:lol: that was a joke obviously just make sure i dont have a broken rib first
  16. sounds like a topping job to me
  17. I dont think advertising firewood on the van is a mistake, after all you got to try and sell it. If the customer uses that as an excuse then tell them how much its worth minus time taken processing it and delivering it. Then smash his face in with one of the logs!!!! grrrr sorry but this thread gets me angry.
  18. I am jealous cos if i unplug my lappy it dies within a minute cos the battery is duff otherwise i would do the same
  19. I used to like the straight bladed ones but gradually came round to curved blades, as Kev says Silky are the best that i have used anyway. Now i use a sugoi and i love my tiger
  20. Did you see the size of their house? that disco was bought with pocket money and a CCJ probably wouldnt even tickle them:sneaky2: I say get the snipers out:BoomSmilie_anim:

  24. that sucketh for sure but if they can afford a disco 4 then they can afford you... Tight arsed rich folk grrr worse than us scots
