  4. Coriolus versicolor or Trametes versicolor after about an hours searching:sneaky2: i hate searching for fungi, theres too many of them! it would help if my fung books weren't in another country as well:001_rolleyes: Dont make me do that again, especially with the headache i have from the root treatment at the dentist today:crying:
  5. I bet you dont know it:001_tt2: I was just filling up space in my thread till i can find other pics honest:001_rolleyes: Dont make me search for its name or the next one will be even easier:sneaky2: You know i have a bad memory for fungi names, so this thread is a way of trying to remember some and finding new ones for me. 7. Similar situation here.... This tree is a monster and being that it is splitting in 2 and hangs over a driveway, it is coming down. Anyone wish to hazard a guess as to what is causing the bleeding? also what we are likely to find inside when we cut it down? I didnt find any fb's around the tree (beech) and apart from the split and the bleeding the tree looks to be in good health as far as crown vitality goes. We will be strapping the 2 parts together for the duration of the work as a precaution and some of it will need to be dismantled due to soft targets (shrubs and other trees) and a stone bench that we dont wanna break obviously. Any thoughts welcome:thumbup1:
  8. Cracking photos as usual keep em coming.
  9. Just been to the dentist myself, hence being here on a work day. Today i got root canal treatment and a temporary filling so now i have 2 teeth with temp fillings and root canal work done, worst of all i need to go back and get them finished off. I also have an abscess in another tooth that i had root canal treatment done on but it leaks and doesnt give me bother except the cap has fallen out and has been missing for nearly a year now. I recently joined an NHS dentist and have no bother getting the work done soon so i dont know why you guys are having to wait so long??? I have 2 more appointments mid november and hopefully that will be me sorted. Now the anesthetic is wearing off from todays visit i think i will go cry in a corner.
  10. We used to do tariffs to calculate volume of standing timber back in the day but that involves counting every tree and cutting down sample trees to get exact measurements. I dont know how its done nowadays but you have no way to calculate how much is there, unless whoever cut it counted every log and then you could go measure a few at random to get an average, but that sounds like more hastle than its worth. If i was you i would just offer a price per ton and be done with it. They may be nice people but they cant expect you to waste all that time working it out, offer the tonnage and explain its not possible to get an accurate measurement till its stacked.
  11. More than once:blushing: theres your tantrum right there
  12. Yea they are just too expensive. I order online from Clark Forest, prices are good and its next day delivery if you order in time. Yvonne if your reading this, you know where to send the freebies for the free advertising:thumbup1:
  13. Looks the business mate I guess the kid wont be able to shift it so will stay where put
  14. Sounds nasty mate:thumbdown: Get third, fourth and even fifth opinions on it because some doctors really can be useless and are so used to dealing with hypochondriacs that they just dont care anymore, so fob you off with bullshit painkillers.
  15. Yep and what a stinker it is too. Next.... I have put this one up on another thread somewhere methinks but hey who cares. To be honest i am running out of photos:blushing:
  16. Nice moves mate smooth and calculated, i can see the rock climber in you for sure:thumbup1:. I would have been well up for it about 10 years ago but i have lost the will for free climbing after being diagnosed with mountaineers finger and had to give up rock climbing. So i moved on to snowboarding and kite atb for my kicks. Still love swinging around in trees but always with rope and harness or my fingers just give up after 10 minutes
  17. ok here is the next one.... Even though its just a piece of it, it should be easy enough (i can still smell it:puke:)
