  6. Very much agreed as dramatic as a lunge gets
  7. Ok now i am down to photos I have already posted in other threads and i DO know the names, but thats not how the game goes is it so you tell me... You can let someone else try and answer first you know, you big myco psycho bullies:001_tt2: Maybe a little tale (if you have one) about the fungi in hand would go down a treat while we wait for a name:thumbup1:
  8. Now your getting the idea:thumbup1: I get the distinct feeling that your just trying to get me to run out of pics though:001_unsure:
  9. seems to be common for this kind of infection as all 3 of the trees in this thread have the "orange stuff" on my last photo you can see just a little blob at the top of the bleed on the right.
  10. I am not looking this time:sneaky2: I already went against the rules of my thread once so its up to someone else to say the name before i put the next photo up. Take your time though because i am running out and need to do some emergency fungography tomorrow:blushing:

  17. Coriolus versicolor or Trametes versicolor after about an hours searching:sneaky2: i hate searching for fungi, theres too many of them! it would help if my fung books weren't in another country as well:001_rolleyes: Dont make me do that again, especially with the headache i have from the root treatment at the dentist today:crying:
  18. I bet you dont know it:001_tt2: I was just filling up space in my thread till i can find other pics honest:001_rolleyes: Dont make me search for its name or the next one will be even easier:sneaky2: You know i have a bad memory for fungi names, so this thread is a way of trying to remember some and finding new ones for me. Plus its called My Fungal finds... You tell me???
  19. Last one is a cute little girl on a log:001_rolleyes:
  20. Similar situation here.... This tree is a monster and being that it is splitting in 2 and hangs over a driveway, it is coming down. Anyone wish to hazard a guess as to what is causing the bleeding? also what we are likely to find inside when we cut it down? I didnt find any fb's around the tree (beech) and apart from the split and the bleeding the tree looks to be in good health as far as crown vitality goes. We will be strapping the 2 parts together for the duration of the work as a precaution and some of it will need to be dismantled due to soft targets (shrubs and other trees) and a stone bench that we dont wanna break obviously. Any thoughts welcome:thumbup1:
  21. Cracking photos as usual keep em coming.
  22. Just been to the dentist myself, hence being here on a work day. Today i got root canal treatment and a temporary filling so now i have 2 teeth with temp fillings and root canal work done, worst of all i need to go back and get them finished off. I also have an abscess in another tooth that i had root canal treatment done on but it leaks and doesnt give me bother except the cap has fallen out and has been missing for nearly a year now. I recently joined an NHS dentist and have no bother getting the work done soon so i dont know why you guys are having to wait so long??? I have 2 more appointments mid november and hopefully that will be me sorted. Now the anesthetic is wearing off from todays visit i think i will go cry in a corner.
  23. We used to do tariffs to calculate volume of standing timber back in the day but that involves counting every tree and cutting down sample trees to get exact measurements. I dont know how its done nowadays but you have no way to calculate how much is there, unless whoever cut it counted every log and then you could go measure a few at random to get an average, but that sounds like more hastle than its worth. If i was you i would just offer a price per ton and be done with it. They may be nice people but they cant expect you to waste all that time working it out, offer the tonnage and explain its not possible to get an accurate measurement till its stacked.
  24. More than once:blushing: theres your tantrum right there
