  1. Working with harvesters in Scottish borders turning your hand to brashing , windblow , felling banks machines can not reach,felling and sneding big outsiders , winching when needed, £130 -150 if your organised and a worker,, self employed but things are changing in the PAYE direction ,

  4. In that case then i'd say it's just the start,, lot's of people doing similar to me and more hassle's to come for them , Contractor i'm working for say's it been a big hassle gettng everthing sorted,,
  5. Skyhuck thats seems to be the way its working with me,, So your saying im being classed as sub contractor in hmrc's eyes ?? If so makes a little more sence now

Another contractor i used to work for got big checks from hmrc a couple of years ago, he does planting through to tree clearance on bog land (forestry commission), i did saw work for him and he was told that because i bring my saw and fuel i would not have to be PAYE but his planters would be because they only supply labour and he would have to deal with them as Paye , But ive been told hmrc have changed there minds now , if i use My tractor and winch i would be classed self employed ,, Ive heard of a couple of other machine harvesting companys that are putting there drivers on paye and its the start of the hmrc clamping down on things,, Im not expecting to get a contract from the people i work for and still class (and think of ) myself as self employed, Ive got as many days as i want with this contractor (4 machines ) and also work for another contractor as and when need (14 machines )

Forestry company's are now being made to go PAYE ,, one company i do hand cutting for (felling outsider's, brashing , driving there winch tractor ) is having to put everyone on PAYE including me doing 2 or 3 day's a week ,, im self employed but when working for them i will be tax'ed at source as they call it ,, gone from being paid weekly to monthly and will have tax taken off after £850 per month, but when self assesment tax return is done i maybe able to claim money back from the hmrc Im not sure how it will work out as this is the first month , Has anybody else had to do similar ??

I know of 15-20 trees growing in a wood approx 12-18 inch diamater and probs 40-50 foot high ,, There well spaced out (planted )and all have a similar bark and leaves ,, ive always wanted to find out what variety they are ,, i paid for them a few years ago and im waiting for them to die before they get felled ,,
  10. NoRush,,, there is some on ebay that say theyve been modified so they dont need remapping ,, Theres a good auto electric place about 20 miles from me ,, ill give them a fone and see if theyve done similar before
  11. Year 2003 ,, rough old firewood delivery truck ,, its not realy worth any more than the £1500 but a bit lost withut it,, I had a look on the bay and recon pump seem to be around £700,,
  12. Hello as above my injecton pump has gone bang,, been quoted £1500 by a garage ,including a trip to ford to recode pump to engine , does anyone know of cheaper options ???

After a bit of reading i'm thinking ill have to see how the medication will react to me ,, had the chance to go on forwarder fulltime a couple of weeks ago but turned it down due to thinkin more active job would be better for me,, Just the start so lots more to find out but im happier knowing there is something wrong and its not just in my head ,,

Hello ,, Ive had problems for 11 months now, Started with pneumonia at start of September last year,, kept on pushing myself to get fit again , stoped smoking (now 7 months ) started eating better food (live by myself )and still not how id expected to be ,, alot of problems i put down to change of diet so never realy said to doctor,, Real mess been goin on in my head,, Blood samples never showed anything apart from liver not looking as healthy as it should, yes i have a couple of ciders a week,,after stool samples have showed i may have ulcerative colitis or crohns disease,, so next thing will be camera where the sun does not shine, I am now feeling a bit better as im not going mad and there is something wrong with me ,, My question is does anyone have similar ,and are you still able to do a hard work ???? Im now mostly work on forestry harvester sites doing winching jobs, felling outsiders and steep banks that the machines do ,, so fitness is big part of my work ,,

  19. Hello,, Looks like it's a 123 then,,, never tried starting but it turns and break seems to work ,, Bad bits ,,exhaust has hole's next to bolt fixing point's and theres a cracked (piece missing )on the clutch cover/sideplate ,,

Hello there,, A customer of mine has a chainsaw hes thinking of selling, Not had time to get it going yet,or take pictures but its in good condition to look at , numbers on side of saw say --123 /012762 , has chain break , and was given an old brochure and it looks similar Dolmar 122 s ,, Does anyone know the value of these saw's Cheers Graham

Lucky you,,,, my timber sale's have dried up to the point of thinking of giving it up ,, sheds full of air dried stuff so no where to put newly milled stuff ,lots of wood here to mill, I can make more money cutting outsider's and windblow for the harvesters , not much equipment needed, but the money im making from it at the moment is maintaining my other machines used for sawmilling ,,

  24. Big beech tree bein felled due to a few different problems, Attached the winch incase it needed a pull as looked to be alot of weight over the road, but she went over herself ,,
