  1. Splendid! Just so you know, Felix brought TWO packets of biscuits when he came to visit!
  2. Yup! Never a sensible moment at Idiot Acres Paul. As you know our door is always open. Makes things a bit chilly this time of year though!
  3. I developed an Electronic Bulldog Oar Lanyard Adjuster. Found marketing it a real difficulty. No one would touch it with a bargepole.
  4. Thanks Silky. Here's Sister Idiot soaking up the KW's this evening at current Idiot HQ.
  5. Mrs Idiot enjoying the warmth of the squirrel. This was taken yesterday in the shed we are moving into whilst we build the new yurt!
  6. That's eternal damnation and hellfire for you then Stubby me lad!
  7. Agreed, it is totally irrational. As a follow on from Hairychest's cartoons post, I would be genuinely interested to hear from the Christians on this forum on what they make of followers of other faiths who are just as sure as you that their God is the one true God. Are they deluded, and why?
  8. I think you may be missing the joke. I'm just messing around!
  9. I don't understand why it upsets you. Giving a name to any particular stance doesn't make it carry more or less weight. It just helps to clarify matters. People who choose not to eat meat are termed vegetarians. This doesn't imply that meat eaters are necessarily better or right. Surely the fact that non belief is called atheism is a total non-issue. Or am I totally missing something here?
  10. I don't really see the problem with giving a name to non-believers. We have to call ourselves something. Apparently 84% of the world's population believe in God so 'atheism' is certainly not the default setting.
  11. My point precisely! And unless he has manifested himself as an admittedly rather heavenly looking bacon and egg butty, I would say not.
  12. Perhaps God just popped out for a packet of hobnobs? Either he's omnipresent and omnipotent or he's not!
  13. Paris attacks caused archbishop to 'doubt' presence of God - BBC News
  14. I agree that ISIS and moderate Muslims are poles apart and most followers of Islam are as appalled by these attacks as the rest of us. I do think though that their faith should be challenged. They are working from the same manual, the moderates just skip the bits they find distasteful. Blind faith should be challenged at every juncture. It is crazy.
  15. Blimey, didn't mince his words did he? Good on him!
  16. Neo Utilitarian Municipal Brash N' Unwanted Twig Supervisor
  17. Groundbased Itinerant Multistem Processor.
  18. Prunings Relocation Arboricultural Technician.
  19. If they are Jon's books then his humble collection of 'What Trailer' magazine should keep them toasty for the next couple of decades.
  20. Snugglepoops on occasion, but more usually Mrs Idiot. Pay?
