  5. Nice one mr Collins I was going to ask about the top stove? Why you say there crap? I can see the floor would be not able to stoke the fire. And yes I've read somewhere about pine cones
  6. From a reduction/work point of view absolutely spot on mate, Given the species though its only going to end one way for the trees and the customer
  7. Some of you may know I received one from a contractor at Christmas, and I'm over the moon with it, I thought having a spider gas stove burner was ideal for me, so I put up a thread on buying a decent flask, in the thread someone told me to get a Kelly kettle but I already had my stove so a flask was my priority. If it had not been for the fact I had one given to me as a present I probably would never of bought one, but how obnoxious could I have been to not realise what an amazing piece of ingenuity it really is. So who owns one? What extras have you bought for it? What do you recommend for it? And also are there things I should be doing to keep it in tip top condition? For those who are thinking of buying one or in the market for a stove of some sort I can't highly recommend this kettle enough. #teabreakhasneverbeensomuchfun Adam
  8. Thanks for starting the thread dog tag, I've always liked this thread and its been interesting seeing other climbers set ups, and its never been side tracked. And best of all its helped you out and cool lanyard too:thumbup1:

  10. Glad you had a great day lads heard from Dan earlier my eyes lit up like Christmas tree when he told me the height:biggrin: I did not realise this thread had been started or I may have changed my plans but look forward to the next one
  11. Cheers mate, It's bang on 7 inches bud, I wanted it a little bit longer than my old petzl shorty as I use a slightly longer hitch.
  12. So just spent an hour this afternoon constructing myself a new stiff tether, the petzl shortys are ok but I was thinking the the fat end loops were pushing the side cheeks on the wrench apart!! Anyway regardless I ended up with this Dmm quick draw sling perfect loop end width, then I covered the floppy part of the sling with the sheave of some tachyon rope and added 4 loads of heat shrink wrap, yet to try it but it looks like a winner
  13. Your not far from me! We've got quite a few lined up, a few boston way, couple in canwick just out side Lincoln, loads more. and your more than welcome to join us mate
  14. That Swedish bike pump you PM me about?
  15. That's a normal set up for Srt with the wrench mate just a single line, there's no second rope attachment in the photo
  16. Me like a lot This was a question I was going to ask about its rope dia, I think the Yale kernmaster is going to be to thin for it Thanks guys
  17. Why not get one for working Srt mate? If you have the wrench it should run sweet as:thumbup1: Although I have read petzl say it is only for use in Ddrt
  18. Probably not but even if your cut would somehow miraculously make it in the the book! I still would not use it! There is no way in hell you was in control of that situation, foolish and down right stupid calling it any thing but unsafe.... Sorry Daniel, I admire you for a small portion of your work but this is defiantly not one of them.
  19. Bless ya! That's fine mate we will document everything so you will know pretty much everything, dan is taking me to look at a big beech also and wants to see if we can work out its mass, should be interesting
  20. I'm sure we will come up with something mate:thumbup1: Couldn't interest you in coming up to see that old lime pollard I posted on Tony's reduction thread could I?
  21. Couple of weeks time my dear friend, me and dan Curtis, I am thinking around the 30m mk, ive only got a 30m tape I asked dan if he had a bigger tape but he doesn't, do you know where I could find a 50m one from?
