  1. I made one today, it took a hour to make really simple and it works a treat and a fraction of the cost, I'll put some pics up tomorrow if you fancy copying it.
  2. Bottle it up take it home pour it into ice cube tray with a sprig of mint, once frozen serve in your favourite tipple. Birch sap is my favourite and it is even said to contain cancer healing properties.
  3. I tried mine again today on 13mm, what a difference it made from the 11mm especially being a bigger climber.
  4. I've tried vt and distel on op and Ap, both hitches grab straight away, it's a weight thing I'm sure I weigh 220lb and I just not sure it's for the bigger climber. However ive not tried it on the bigger rope yet so I might be eating my words.
  5. I'm using Marlow LSK static 11mm, I tried it again today I adjusted the wrench as described in the instructions but it's still not running very smooth. There seems to be alot of friction on the hitch, The rope does seem very squashed through the wrench, or is it a weight thing as I'm no stick! perhaps I'm too heavy for the wrench?
  6. R. E. M automatic for the people.
  7. Cheers buddy, will do
  8. I gave mine a go today, i used Hc, vt, setup fairly short but there seems to be alot of friction on the hitch, so I tried different cords and hitches but still a fair bit of friction it certainly isnt smooth, I'm climbing on my 11.5 srt rope, would a thicker rope make things smoother?
  9. Yes it was insured the total repair bill will be £2000 however the company doing the repairs has found a steering problem which could push the bill up alot more, so might get written off yet.
  10. I like your thinking ;0)
  11. 300tdi was the better engine in my opinion td5 had issues with water on electrics but then saying that if you buy a 300tdi with 100.000+ on the clock expect to put a new clutch and release fork in and maybe gearbox, I've had a few 90 landys and the two I spent less money on were 300tdi, fuel consumption will be between 25 and 35 mpg, we have the new 90 on the farm and the gearbox has already been changed.
  12. It says cord not supplied, so if I have to get some what would be the best to go for?
  13. I've just ordered one and the quick release pin, what size cord do you use to connect to your harness??
  14. Ooh shiny things, I'm tempted to get a rope wrench to add to my ever growing collection of shiny things, on a serious note I would like to see how well it works with a hitch.

  16. Treemotion is the dogs danglies!
  17. I subscribed but I've not got one.
  18. Great idea mog, so simple I'm going give that a go.
  19. I went and collected our quad today and wished I hadn't! It turns out it was towed for the first 10 miles by its front rack, the ignition and half the wiring was ripped out most of the plastic panels are cracked, the front and rear logic boxs are gone the rifle grips are smash off and for some reason all 4 tyres which were put on a month ago are covered in some form of acid also acid on the seat and frame, it looks a right bloody state I almost wish they had torched it!!. I don't understand why they had to wreck it surly it would have been worth more to them in good condition?
  20. We were told today that the five were arrested for theft of a motor vehicle but bailed pending further enquiries.
  21. Still not heard anything I'll keep you all posted on the outcome.
  22. Hi mate I'm not sure which one we have, we pay a prescription every year I think it's £120 All you do is notify the company as soon as possible after the theft and they activate the tracker, they can get a 3 mile fix, it's then upto the police traffic cars or chopper who are all sent the tracker code to pin point it's exact location. I'll ask my boss tomorrow which one it is.
  23. The latest is that they are holding them till Monday they will probably get bailed then won't turn up for court, and i was told that by one of the officers,One of the vehicles used was an L200 stolen from an estate in Somerset the number plate was stolen from Berkshire.
  24. Not heard much as yet but police said there must have been two vehicles because the kit from the quad box was found 10 miles in the opposite direction that the quad went also two other farms, one of which was where quad stuff was found was hit at the time of the pursuit so while all units were chasing quad the others new had a hassle free night bastards!!!
